MSG OVERLOAD !! to the point of being irresponsible to the diners. It is fair to expect some MSG in Japanese food, but this is overkill. My 4yr-old grandson loves noodles and can easily finish a whole bowl of udon by himself, but not tonight, even though he was hungry. The meal was to celebrate his birthday and every dish we had tasted so strongly of MSG and little real taste. 2 other kids were so thirsty from the meal, they kept asking for water. My Teppanyaki Teriyaki Beef was really disappointing - beef was thin slices of beef that is meant for steamboat cos it cooks quickly. The beef in this dish was overdone, with thin watery sauce and mostly undercooked onions, a few pieces of sprouts and capsicum. Teppanyaki is meant to be grilled not stirfried. The Teppanyaki dish was ceramic not a hot iron plate and most definitely not hot. Teppan - Iron Plate Yaki - grilled. There was nothing "grilled" in the dish. It was way too sweet. Other dishes were sweet too from the MSG and possibly sugar, not authentic taste. I believe Japanese chefs take a lot of pride in their cuisine, but I am sure something is not right here with the taste and presentation - Jalapenos garnish on top of sushi?? Feedback was not appreciated and defensive but what makes me really angry is, as I said MSG to the level of being irresponsible. I take a lot of care preparing food for the kids and to think that we had inadvertently fed them so much MSG is very upsetting. We were told to expect a queue as soon as they open at 5.00pm, so we got there early but we were the only ones. Not a good sign. Would not recommend and definitely will not go again. Have tasted far better Japanese sushi from foodhalls and other Japanese...

During our visit, we decided to try the Curry Katsu Donburi. While the portion of rice served was generous, I must admit that I found the meat portion to be rather thin and dry. It lacked the succulence and tenderness that I was hoping for. Additionally, the amount of curry provided wasn't sufficient to fully complement the portion of rice. This was a slight disappointment, as I believe a well-balanced dish is crucial for a satisfying meal experience.
On a positive note, the six-piece sushi roll we ordered was a highlight of the meal. The ingredients used were noticeably fresh, and each bite was a delightful combination of flavors. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of the sushi roll which we ordered.
The ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The overall cleanliness and attention to detail were notable, contributing to a comfortable dining environment. The staff members were attentive and helpful, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal.

Read moreThe staff and manager here is so rude and their service have gone down hill since they open the new store.
I called in to order a takeaway and have repeated and double check before hanging the phone up but after collecting the food and went back to my work, i found out that still i got the wrong order. The wrong order wasn’t even the main problem as their staff made an error but once i try to let them know so hopefully the order can be fix but instead their staff argue and blame that i ordered the wrong order.
When i went back to the shop to try get the order fix (asking to get the right sauce for the dish) the manager instead try to charge me for it and were accusing that i have ordered it wrong when in-fact she didn’t even know what we ordered. She then went on to accused and point fingers, giving not only bad attitude but continue to blame me for her staff mistake. Would have been easy if they just try to fix it up by giving the correct order but instead reacted in this way.
I have always love this restaurant for the pass 5 years or so but i guess after today i wouldn’t recommend to anyone anymore. Train your staff better and learn some basic...
