A Day At The Museum And what a delightful day it was. Nothing like The Night at the Museum scary movie.
Then there was the long walk afterwards, with my hipjoint protesting fiercely. But we were following Maxine - because she knew where to go. And finally we came to Grilled Burgers - even though it wasn't spelled that way, we still found it and settled in for some nice food.
During our time here there was an incident that reminded me of something that had come to me by email a few days before. The email included a short video clip of a young man in his 30s walking along this narrow path with his young son aged 3 or 4 trailing along behind.
They came to a narrow footbridge over a river and as they started across the bridge there was a tangled mass of rubbish blocking the path. The young man climbed through it and continued to walk on to the centre of the bridge where he looked back to see his son still struggling to get through the tangle. After waiting for a while with no developments he went back and lifted his son out of the tangle and rather than bringing him over to him, placed him back on the far side of the path then walked back to the centre of the bridge to wait for his son to tackle the tangle once again......
and eventually his son mastered it (with some real satisfaction for the boy) and joined him at the centre of the bridge.
Now back to the incident at the restaurant:
3y/o Clementine was walking around exploring the inside of the restaurant and ativated the automatic sliding glass door which opened and gave her access to the side laneway - and more interesting territory to explore.
None of us noticed her escape (and potential danger) except her father Daniel, who quietly wandered through the door and kept and eye on the intrepid explorer from a distance.
Well done Daniel - and Kirsty. You...

Waited half an hour today for my food only for the guy at the till to tell me they "never got my order" from the QR code. He then dismissed me from the till by calling his manager over to my partner at our table, only for me to get dismissed again by the manager back to the table and the kitchen calling him back saying "actually, we do have it". When the food came out, I was disappointed further. As someone who's gluten intolerant, it's hard to find good fried chicken tenders around. I ordered the 5 pack, which was $18 for these little pieces that looked like the nuggets!!!! This was so misleading as I recently went to Grill'd Subiaco and these were double the size (as seen in their promo pics) - I don't know if this was a supplier issue but it's quite misleading to give different sizes at different locations. They also didn't deliver my drink. I ordered one of those Chill'd Sips ($9 btw) and when my partner went to the till the same guy told him to take a different drink from the fridge (worth half the price), even though I saw other people receive theirs iced with garnish etc!!! Nothing that I had ordered was worth the money spent. I'd recommend going to literally any other...

The customisation on the burgers is truly baffling. They have so many options sometimes it can be overwhelming.
With this in mind, I ordered a burger with quite a few things inside it (nothing fancy, one of the ones from the menu). I noticed it was missing one of the ingredients after chopping and taking a bite out of it. I let one of the staff know and to my confusion they took my whole plate and shortly after they returned it with the missing ingredient on the side. Sadly my burger had gotten cold by this point and wasn’t enjoyable.
Aside from this the other burger was great and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Just a shame...
