Zensaki Japanese Canteen — Restaurant in Perth

Delightful and delicious Japanese food. Stopped in for some sushi, but decided to go with their Terayaki Tofu, and was so glad I did. The 'small' size was quite generous (see image), and came with some edmame and a little salad. They really nail this dish, going to be hard to avoid over doing it going forward. This is a take-out bento shop. As I visited during lunchtime, there was already a long queue. However, thanks to the enthusiastic staff, I was able to order without waiting too long. If the bento is pre-made, it will be served in an instant. I ordered chicken fried rice, and while I was paying, it was already brought to me! The food was delicious and the portions were plenty. Well priced meals but don’t expect any customer service. This place is all about efficiency and pumping out as many meals as quick as possible during a lunch rush.

Unfortunately, this philosophy also works to the great detriment as my friend found steel wool in their meal!

If the pursuit of ultimate efficiency comes at the cost of a gouged oesophagus, you will not find Zensaki as a lunch contender for my patronage.
