Unfortunately, zero stars are not a possibility because they are not deserving of any. Although the crossiant appears glazed, you can taste the egg wash, and after eating it, I felt sick.I ordered coffee without sugar, but as I was leaving, I could taste sugar. When I went back and asked if she had added any, she replied, "Yes, one sugar." It took her between five and ten minutes to remake my coffee, and by the time I left, it was too hot to drink.I went back to the coffee shop and confronted her, asking if she was upset that I had informed her I didn't want any sugar and that she had then attempted to burn me with hot, boiling milk, the woman asked whether I had requested extra hot coffee, and I responded that I had not and i was unable to drink the burningly hot milk. I don't understand why she is so rude about it. The cheese and tomato toast is not recommended. The toast's tomato and cheese aren't properly melted, and the toast is excessively crunchy. Went order three different items each of which appeared to be hastily scribbled onto a piece of card and stuck at the cash register. In each instance I was told they were out of them, or else that it was too late in the day. I asked them why don’t they just take down the pieces of cardboard then? So I just bought a coffee. I went to pay with cash and she shook her head and waved her hand. I’m not sure whether they don’t take,cash, or they are closing up for the day, or whatever. So I reluctantly used my debit card only to find that I was charged an extra surcharge (which is not displayed at the cash register!). This is deceptive and ILLEGAL in New South Wales. You cannot stop Customer from paying by cash and then when you FORCE them to pay by card to then charge them an extra charge. I will be reporting this to the Department...

I have been going to Taste in the hospital for over a year. I was loyal of the early Taste Baguette shops like Macquarie Uni. Their food can be OK but I'd much prefer some grilled/toasted options like if they did panninis.

The problem with this Taste is a couple of staff really rush everyone and can be ruder than just that. One particular lady is very rude and after the way she acted today, I'm going to wait an extra hour in the morning until Jamaica Blue opens to get proper service and much nicer breakie.
