I'd read good reviews about this place so was extremely dissapointed. We ordered 4 things plus 2 drinks. I'll describe each one... The John Dory Spring Rolls: bland, just unseasoned fish in spring roll pastry. The sauce had no flavour. Said 4 pieces but was 2 cut in half. The wagyu beef dumplings: Tasted like they had a chemical on them and were burnt, returned to kitchen. They took them off our total. Pork dumplings: The best of what we had but nothing special. Bahn Mi Dumplings: The dumplings on this were weird, blamd and the meat was unrecognizable, an odd fibred almost fishy filling. The toppings were just dressing up something that was just plain gross. Mocktail was $15, a very small glass that tasted like straight cordial... The peach soda was nice. The atmosphere was awkward. Total was $80 minus the beef dumplings. 2 people. 18 dumplings, 2 spring rolls and 2 drinks. Felt...

The menu looked exciting, and although the prices looked a little steep (some dumplings were $4.5 each), I was hopeful the quality would match the prices. Sadly the food was disappointing… we tried a variety of dishes and everything was just okay. The food was brought out very sporadically, with our rice and salads only coming toward the end of the meal. I think one of the duck dumplings used roti as a dumpling wrapper which was a great idea in theory, but it was doughy and undercooked. There was also some mistakes with our order, such as being brought a $20 mocktail instead of the 7$ slushy. This may be due to the restaurant being incredibly loud, which also made it very difficult to have conversations over dinner. The staff were friendly and...
Read moreI can't believe how many aspects of this place are top notch! The dumplings were fantastic, really wonderfully plump with flavor & creative flavor options. I didn't come in for the Bao buns but they blew me away! Highly recommend the Teriyaki Chicken Bao!! The fried chicken inside was incredible, loved the juiciness and texture and sauce choices! The place is well kept with solid style and nice little touches like light up Mahjong tiles along the counter & a cute neon Dumpling mascot welcoming you on the door, and the staff are all helpful and down to earth. It's great for multiple reasons for a night out, casual or formal, and every age! I saw grps covering 4 generations in just one visit! Wish I had time for the desserts, someone please try the Yuzu Meringue Dumplings and Sweet Vanilla...
