Noodle Box Geelong — Restaurant in Victoria

I tried to order fried rice with special instructions, twice from Uber Eats. I asked for certain ingredients to be removed due to intolerances (prawn and pork). The first time I order the special instructions were ignored and I received fried rice with both pork and prawn inside which I had asked to be removed. The second time I even called the restaurant to confirm my order after I placed it and asked them to follow the special instructions which they agreed to. When it arrived there was absolutely no seasoning on the rice, plain rice with no flavour which is something that I did not ask to be removed. Extremely dissatisfied with my order, very unhappy with the experience. The receipt clearly states the ingredients which I had asked to be removed, yet these were not followed on two occasions and for how expensive it is for a small box of fried rice I am appalled at the lack of care...

An absolute shambles. Parts of our order sat on the counter for 20 minutes+ and I suspect made at least one trip to the microwave to warm it up again.

The kitchen was chaotic and service disorganised. We ended up just getting a refund and leaving.... not interested in eating reheated food.

The issue was not how long the order took to fulfil. The issue was that portions of the order were left sitting around on a counter for over 20 minutes and then popped into the microwave to be reheated...

If all the food was produced fresh and hot with a 30 minute wait that would have be fine. But that wasn't what happened... the food was cooked in dribs and drabs and then left sitting around, then shoved in the microwave. That's gross...and...

This was tricky to grade. Noodle Box seems to cater mainly to the takeaway business, although there are several tables inside and a couple out on the street. There is a good selection of dishes to choose from, and if you're not happy with those, you can construct your own dish. Service was fast and the food nice and hot. It's served in takeaway containers, which makes dining in a bit different. The food was quite good, but I've had better. I had Japanese chicken with sweet chilli mayo on a bed of rice. Tasty, but way too much dressing which made the meal sloppy. Their salt and pepper squid was excellent. I'd try this place again, but ask for less...
