Sadly, we didn't enjoy our experience. We were staying at Westin on 2 November and had a lovely dinner already, so we decided to go for a walk around the area. After our long walk, we wanted to have a drink and dessert.

We chose Picada Perth because we recently saw a post on post Facebook highlighting their new desert called Crema Catalina ice cream. I am allergic to almond, but my partner was going to eat the almond.

The person who waited on us said that he had never heard of it, and it might be an old post last year. We showed him the post it stated a day ago. He just ignored us. Anyway, we ordered something else instead.

We ordered our drinks, and I told him that I am allergic to alcohol and was hoping they would make mocktails. He said they don't do mocktails and offered us zero alcohol drinks. I told him that I also reacted with fermented drinks. Anyway, he suggested a drink. But to be honest, I didn't enjoy it and I just let my partner finish our drinks.

We had stayed in expensive and cheap tapas bar, and somehow they all offer mocktails. Not everyone is capable of drinking alcohol.

It would be nice if establishments such as this place could educate themselves about dietary requirements.

I also didn't feel good service since I was asking for no alcohol or no almond orders.

I am sure the food would be nice hence I gave them 5 stars. We also loved the location. Hence, it is literally next door to our favourite hotel, The Westin.

Sadly, this place is only receiving 1 star because of the service we received because of how they...

We recently discovered this little gem by chance. Some close friends held their wedding there, and to say we were impressed is an understatement.

For a start it's a cool place, from the casual high tables, to the restaurant which feels comfortable and intimate. The walls are lined with bottles of Spanish wine which almost drag you over to read their labels, and entice you to order them. Being a fan of industrial style, I loved the open ceiling so make sure you take a look up, as the bare joists hold another whole chapter of wine bottles (empty) that have been part of many great meals held there no doubt.

Now to the food. I am am coeliac and did panic a bit that I hadn't informed the brides of my dietary requirements. Well there was no need to worry, as Graham the owner conjured up no end of gluten free delights for me, that even my partner was jealous of (and those coeliacs amongst us can back me up on the fact that no one is EVER jealous of the GF option)......well, till now.

Course after course was delicious, and carefully thought out. It's good, no sorry.....GREAT Spanish fare. Incredibly tasty, restaurant quality but with that great sense of humbleness that Spanish food has. We rolled out of the place (also might have had something to do with those amazing wines), and didn't stop talking about how much we loved it after. So much so, we are heading back tonight for dinner.

Please do yourself a favour and check this place out, it's...

The previous time we came we went with the fiesta (fed me menu) and whilst we weren't disappointed there were so many dishes that we wished had been included on the set menu. This time we went with my wife's parents, who had memories of eating at tapas bars in Barcelona, with the aim to try as many of the unique dishes as possible.

Picada is located at Hibernian Place, directly opposite the Westin Hotel. It has colourful Mediterranean-style interiors with breezy floor-to-ceiling bi-fold glass windows, which open up onto the green park, that is Hibernian Place. It feels open and casual but is ideal for groups or intimate date nights.

The wine list provides a mixture of Spanish and Australian wines, excellent cocktails, and even Estrella on tap. The aroma from the kitchen is so alluring - the dishes, whilst small serving, are full of flavour. Normally I would take photos of each plate however I was so busy devouring our meal I completely forgot. The highlights of our dinner were the roasted cauliflower, charred broccoli, and the chicken skewers. They really got my tastebuds dancing.

The excellent customer service added an extra touch of warmth and comfort to our dining experience.

If you after an authentic Spanish tapas meal in Perth then I thoroughly recommend you try Picada - you won't be...

Picada! What a delightful restaurant to say the least. This place feels so cosy and warm and the service is friendly and welcoming. We had the fiesta menu which showcases the beauty and highlights the restaurant. It does not disappoint! $68pp and for so much spectacular food! There were two of us for reference to the pictures provided. The Fiesta Menu included 4 courses: ☆ Entree Plate with Croquettes, Chorizo, Bread, Dip, Olives, Pickles, and Pickled Peppers. ☆ Goats Cheese (omg amazing) ☆ Chicken Skewers - so tender ☆ Main Course which included the Steak, Patatas Bravas, and Broccoli Additionally, we wanted to try the Barramundi Ceviche and Asparagus but the Fiesta Menu was definitely already enough food. This place is well worth a visit. There is so much flavour each bite. You can tell the food has been made with much effort and love. This is my third time here. You will not be disappointed!

Delicious food at a reasonable price. It will not be a cheap night out but you definitely get amazing bang for buck when it comes to flavour. Every dish we ordered (around 6 plus dessert) was packed full of flavour. Our favourites were the mushrooms and the sardines, but everything was great. Even the cocktails were really good and one of the staff (the very helpful Vicente) gave us great recommendations on what to drink. He was spot on. My only recommendations would be to try to serve the dishes in order, as we got our main before one of the entrees. Also a couple of mocktails would be a great addition in the menu for those that are driving. Overall, a great new option to eat out in the city. Will definitely go back when we have a chance
