Planet Royale — Restaurant in Western Australia

The arcade is obviously great, but the service at the Pulp Fiction-themed restaurant downstairs is some of the worse I’ve experienced in my life.

My wife and I waited over an hour for some side dishes last night and had to go through three people to get a refund, before being told that the person offering my refund “didn’t appreciate my tone”. Well, it’s not really my fault that I had to raise my voice in the place for you to even hear me, plus talking over me when I was trying to explain the situation (we simply didn’t have the ability to wait any longer, nor did we expect it to take so long as I had ordered food for myself 15mins before with no issue; my wife on the other hand had performed at the theatre upstairs and hadn’t eaten since breakfast; silly me thinking she could get something small in a 90 min break between then and the next show she had to perform).

I had to talk to the shift manager to finally get some understanding and he kindly offered to make it up but by that point I was beyond agitated and passed the offer up. Heck, I’m still agitated...

Come here on the school holidays on a last minute lunch after a city outing. The seating in the lower level was booked/reservations and none was available. The area where these seats are is super loud with all the arcade games and music ect. We were advised there is seating upstairs which was pleasant and much quieter. The menu is like American style burgers and pizza style. Lots to choose but no kids sized meals (for smaller kids) they did how ever have hot dogs for $6 (after we had ordered seen it was a special on) orderd the cheese burger and chips and they were beautifully cooked. Another guest with me ordered the veg burger and it looked amazing. Portions huge and worth the money. They thankfully had a holiday special for $25 per person unlimited games which was much worth it. Kids has a blast and there was so many cool pinball machines. Great atmosphere and was looking forward to trying their food before we went upstairs for a show. 4 of us ordered one after the other. 1st 2 meals come, one was a burger and that was ok, 2nd was this mushroom pizza that was literally swimming in liquid. The base was soggy from it. 3rd order of wings came and they were delicious!. 4th order didn’t come. We returned the pizza and changed the meal choice. They didn’t offer compensation just refunded $3 difference (from the meal choice). Replacement meal came, 4th original order still hadn’t come even tho we asked twice where it was. 53 mins after ordering, the 3 slices of pizza came (4th order). Too much cheese on pizza which made the base very oily (not as much as the first pizza). The wings were the only meal that I would order again.
