What happens when you get people from one origin, cooking food for another origin/culture? You get mixed taste that are sometimes great but at times shocking !

In this case, Mauritian ppl selling “Authentic Middle Eastern food” . I ordered Lamb Mandi with Rice . What do you get ? Big piece of lamb meat and some rice . However, meat was bland, no salt or pepper ! On top, the owner offered “hot chilli sauce” with it ? Please tell me who eats hot chilli sauce with Mandi. Back home in Jordan and Saudi it is eaten with Pickles and Salad. During Ramadan on an empty stomach eating hot chilli would be disastrous!

Please my friend, if you want to be authentic, don’t invent , keep it traditional . No one from Middle East would sit with hot chilli sauce to eat Mandi or Arabic food . Only ppl from spicy food background...

A cosy, around the block kind of shop. Be mindful that the space is quite tight, which actually makes the place authentic!

It was quite an adventure, I must say. I was a little sceptical about how the shop will accommodate a rather large group like us. But they did! To make it even roomier, they would add another table, and left a corner unusable. That's service!!

The food was delicious and portioned generously! I'm glad we shared each dish with the group of 10!! The Lamb and Chicken Mendi were so tender and juicy! While there may not be tons of dishes on the menu, I think it's great that they focus on the few!

Why’s the Mandi chicken $19.50 one day then the next it’s $21.50 This can’t be legal. Why are you charging customers more when you feel like it, when it’s advertised as $19.5 on the board above the counter. Customers also pay at the end. If your prices change you need advise them before they order not for them to find out after they tap their card. It’s not the $2 that has troubled me. It’s the morale that when you order both the shop and the customer should know the price and it shouldn’t change. I don’t recall a time where I’ve bought something and just as I pay the price increases randomly when no more value for what I’m getting has come with it. It’s the same thing for a higher price.
