ARUHI Sushi — Restaurant in Perth

This is by far the worst sushi takeaway I’ve ever had. The sushi was dry the rice was hard and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours, and the fish was not fresh at all, it had a strong smell that was really unpleasant. For the price they charge, I expected at least something decent, but this honestly felt like cheap leftovers thrown together.

I also tried the Katsu Chicken Rice, and it was just as bad. The chicken was greasy, chewy, and mostly batter with hardly any meat inside. The rice portion was huge, but it didn’t help because the quality of the dish was so poor.

I was drawn in by the tasteful jazz music playing on the speakers. Not too loud to be obnoxious, but enough to distract me from my thoughts of work as i plodded down 5he street. I walked in and found the staff friendly and welcoming, always a good start. The sushi on display looked fresh and appetising. I felt like rice and beef and selected that dish. It was excellent. The beef could be a little more tender, but otherwise the portion was good, the teriaki sauce subtle and the rice well cooked. I walked into this sushi bar at 15:10. I didn’t realise it was closed and I asked if they were open and they willingly invited me in and stayed until I finished eating. I wasn’t aware until after my beautiful chicken katsu and rice dish that I they close at 3pm and stayed open for me. The staff were absolutely lovely and food was fantastic. Beautiful store setup, nice jazzy music and amazing service and food.
