Kaffeehäferl — Restaurant in Salzburg

3 ants in my drink, no apologies, no coffee or drink offered to make up for the mistake. The owner mocked us in front of the other guests: "In Asia they eat insects all the time, free protein, they are picky to order a new drink"... unfortunatley for him I understand german. After confronting them we were treated as liars and the whole family that runs this shameful restaurant came to threaten to call the police if we did not pay right now. Tried to make them undersrand that I would pay either way but wanted them to at least notice how rude they were - they kept yelling, treating us as liars and disrespecting us. Unpleasant family business, please do not support this...

The place Is ok. Away from the traffic and such,so, me and my girlfriend asked the waitress if we could sit at the table and without even looking at us she said the most passive aggressive “yes” I’ve ever heard in my life. We sat down, looked at the menu and when she came back she asked for vaccination papers in the rudest way possible. She basically sounded like a border patrol, making us really uncomfortable and unwelcomed, rushing us to find proof of our health. This COVID situation is serious and they need to check everyone but as I see it we’re all on the same boat and there’s no need to be rude about it. We left angry without even ordering anything . For what I saw the prices are a little bit high and they serve a veggy goulash which sounded great but if they cook with the same care they threat people I’m sure it’ll taste like piss. Avoid at all cost if you care about politeness.

Il posto è carino, lontano dal traffico e dai turisti. io e la mia ragazza abbiamo chiesto alla cameriera se potevamo sederci ad un tavolo,lei, senza neanche guardarci in faccia ha accennato il “sí” piú passivo aggressivo del secolo. Ci siamo seduti, abbiamo guardato il menù e quando è tornata ci ha chiesto i classici documenti che attestano la vaccinazione nel modo piú maleducato possibile. Sembrava piú che altro un poliziotto di frontiera mettendoci fretta e facendoci sentire assolutamente colpevoli e fuori luogo. Ovviamente ci siamo alzati senza ordinare nulla. Da quel poco che ho visto del menù i prezzi sono altini. hanno anche delle scelte vegetariano/vegane tipo il goulash( vegetariano) che potrebbero anche sembrare interessanti ma se cucinano con lo stesso amore e interesse con il quale trattano i clienti di sicuro farà schifo. I cannot express enough HOW RUDE the staff were to us. We ordered two coffees and they brought out three. We informed them that sorry, we didn’t order a third. They SLAMMED the coffee down on the table and said “I don’t care. Three people, three coffees. You did order it. Pay for it”. Everyone in the place was looking at us and we felt so uncomfortable. We’ve never been treated in such a hostile way before. We paid for all three coffees (didn’t drink the third because we didn’t order it!) and left.
