Momoya Fusion Restaurant — Restaurant in Vienna

I am doubting between 2 and 3 stars... My wife and I came in during early January evening, without reservation. We were stuck at a high table after a waiter rather loudly and rudely sighed hearing we had not made a reservation.

The food we got was sadly not up to the steep prices - even for Viennese levels. The noodles were extremely salt. The red curry was OK. Beyond that, before ordering, we were not very impressed with the menu compared to many other similarly advertised restaurants we have frequented in the past.

The atmosphere was OK; it was nicely decorated. The service however was very slow - we asked for the check, and had to easily wait 10-15 minutes before we saw anyone again. Interestingly, when we saw the waiter again, finally, he was hanging other folks' coats - something that wasn't offered to us.

We both had the feeling the owners/waiters just weren't happy with our presence somehow - well, then please don't open a publicly...

Probably the worst dinner we had of 4 years in Vienna. Chose it because we had been to Momoya (different restaurant but the same chain) several times before and it was a nice atmosphere. The food was ok. Extremely slow at first. The noise was unbearable from a table of young adults. We had to endure nearly 2 hours of screaming, squeaking noise all around the restaurant. When asked, waitress just said There was nothing they can do. And shrugged and left. We didn’t finish our deserts and left too. The place obviously wasn’t managed well. Also, we had the Gourmet 2025 menu and it would be a rip off if paying full price (150 euros for 2). So the voucher 2 for 1 really was not really meant to be. Never come back again to anymore...

It was on 4th February, at 22:00 the reason why I ate dinner there, I visited Vienna as a tourist was expecting more than dinner. I am a asian woman, I thought to went to Asian restaurant felt like eat in your hometown. The woman who has very long hair as a waitress not very friendly. One of my friend also talked to her nicely and wanting give her (Trinkgeld) but she just leave without say anything. And about the food I ordered Tropical Curry, the duck meat was hard to bite and the vegetables not cooked well. And when I pay she did not give me the receipt!!!! IT’S NOT OKAY!!

Definitely wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to all my...
