My experience at Ristorante Sole A cute little italian restaurant in the vienna city center. This place is cosy and quite fancy. The bathroom is covered with pink tiles and is very fancy. The staff takes your jacket and hangs it up. Very welcoming.I would recommend booking a table though. Now let’s talk about the main attraction-food. Me and a group of friend ordered risotto, pasta, veal and diavollo pizza to share. The food and drinks come almost immediately. The pizza was actually quite nice, but not worth 16€. Same about the other food. Except the veal. Personally the only thing that actually looked fancy was the veal. The rest was pretty good. The portion sizes are mid sized. Let’s move on to the financial part.As I said the food was quite nice. But Restaurant Sole doesn’t offer reasonable prices in terms of quality and the amounts of food they serve. Overall my experience here was pleasant. I’m not fully satisfied.Highly recommend.

I deleted my last review, to post this because Google permits only one per guest and I have been here so many times… We have dined at this amazing restaurant too many times to count! When we travel to Vienna, from England, one of the first things we do is to ask our Concierge to make a booking (or two!) at Sole! The ambience is lovely, the team is clearly very happy as we see the same people every time! Food is of the highest quality and service is flawless! The team speak really good English and are very warm and professional. They know us well by now, and welcome us but they treat all guests so well. The owner is such a genuinely warm and engaging gentleman: he checks on guest enjoyment and values his team and guests. I would recommend that anybody wishing to enjoy the delights here, book early as they get very busy.

Friendly and helpful staff, great food, good wine recommendation, shared a burrata starter which the kitchen split between 2 plates which was nice touch. Seafood stew and linguine were both stacked with well cooked seafood. Best affogato we've had...we came back...3 days later...the food and service was so good, this time I had the octopus starter followed by simply grilled butterflied prawns both were very tasty..we had the same Sardinian Vermentino wine both nights, and affogato to finish..it was chilly and staff gave Tammy a pink pashmina to wear, along with some other ladies, nice touch. Limoncello was lovely. A great restaurant with great friendly staff.

Trattoria la no next door was full and unable to accommodate our party of 3, so we just went next door to the only slightly less busy Sole, which we were grateful for, at first. The waiter was attentive and working as fast as he could given the kitchen was relatively busy.

However, I leave a review of 1 star because this is the kind of restaurant that will offer bread and charge you 7 euros for it. They will ask if you will want appetizers and if 1 or 3 people are eating, and then, when you say two, add x2 next to the original 16 euro price on the bill. They smile and say they had an appetizer portion of calamari and then charge you the full dinner price of 20 euros. For our meals, we ordered pasta, which was priced reasonably around 13 euros a plate. However, it was extra salty and the industrious waiter extra fast at opening new bottles. Four half liter bottles of still water totaled a whopping 27.6 euros. Yeah. Okay.

Our appetizers tasted good but already I noticed they were quite salty. We all ordered pasta courses. My friends were luckier than I. Their pappardelle tasted okay, but my first plate of ragú over crunchy pasta was so salty and unbelievably creamy that it stank, so I sent it back with much embarrassment. It was the second time in my life and we eat out most nights. What kind of supposedly authentic Italian restaurant puts that much cream in a ragú? To the restaurant’s credit, they made me another portion with no cream, so I will add one more star for the extra effort, I suppose, as they were kind to make up for the lack of cream with a generous extra portion of salt.

A few hours later, here I am, feeling quite a headache, which is my main inspiration to leave this review of 2 stars. Lunch for 3 with two appetizers, bread, four bottles of water and three plates of pasta cost us 125 euros and change. This is obviously what they regularly do to unwitting tourists. I hope that salt and water racket is worth this review. Imagine if we...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and I must say that my experience was nothing short of fantastic. When I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The service throughout the evening was impeccable, with the staff being attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Now let's talk about the food. The menu offered a wide variety of delectable dishes, and each one exceeded my expectations. From the appetisers to the main course, every bite was bursting with flavour and made with the freshest ingredients. The presentation of the dishes was also remarkable, showcasing the chef's attention to detail.

What truly sets this restaurant apart is the consistency of its excellence. Every time I visit Vienna, I find myself drawn back to Sole, knowing that I will be treated to an exceptional dining experience. The level of quality and attention to customer satisfaction is unparalleled.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The combination of great food, a top-notch staff, and a welcoming atmosphere make it the best possible choice for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Vienna. Whether you're a local or a tourist, make sure to visit this establishment. You won't be...
