Beers Garden Brussels — Restaurant in Brussels

Our visit of July 14th 2022: as the restaurant looked nice, my wife and I have chosen to sit on a table just outside the restaurant. However although the waiter came around 3 times to the table just next to us (where 4 ladies sat), he didn't come to us - although our table was empty and for an average attentive waiter, it should have been obvious that we didn't eat already and we would be new guests.

After around 10 minutes waiting for the waiter to come to our table without success, we have chosen to check the menu on our mobile phones through the QR code on the table that we would already know what we want by the time the waiter would come.

After another 10 minutes and without anyone coming to the table, we felt confirmed in our impression that the waiter doesn't want us as guests and we have left The Beers Garden without having ordered something or even without having spoken to anyone.

So either they didn't want us as guests and ignored us (successfully), or the waiter was simply completely not attentive (although he was with other guests as per our perception). Thank you for the experience, like this we know, where we...

Worst fries in Belgium. The personnel isn't at fault for it, but this place is nothing other than a scam. 15€ for a lukewarm completely overcooked, probably frozen chicken burger. "Indian Maharaja" has nothing indian and should have been called the Sahara given how dry it is. Its contender, the "Jamaican veggie" burger has (suprise) nothing Jamaican, and is a generic frozen veggie burger with a piece of lettuce and a tomato slice. No amount of sprinkled fried onion could possibly save this mess, however they try. The fries are a supplement although this was unclear. They are a shame to Belgium and that is an understatement. Frozen as well, undercooked as well, or rather uncooked. The other pictures in the review are completely unrealistic, something has definitely changed since. The owners of this place have serious audacity for serving such an awful meal for this price.

We booked this place with a promotion that included 1 portion of Mussels + 1 drink. We thought we did a good deal. We arrived, ordered a starter (as extra!). I had 4 oysters that were fair. My companion had Scampi with garlic (exactly 5 mini scampis that costed 17 euro as a starter) But ok ... it is what it is. Now the Mussels were a big big shock ! We both ordered Mussels with white wine. And while eating them, more at the bottom they were not with wine but garlic !!! Now ... this is totally disgusting because that means that they probably gave us the rest of some garlic mussels and just put fresh ones with wines on top! THERE IS NO WAY you can cook in the same pot with garlic the ones on the bottom and with wine the ones on top ! I have never lived such a thing ... never. Pity because the waiter was friendly, he offered to make us a new portion but after something like this no...
