GIST — Restaurant in Brussels

Beers, ales, cheese, curred meat, bread... Everything you want and need! This place is a little gem in Bruxelles city center. The owners' philosophy is to provide you with masterly crafted beers that they choose themselves. Only independent breweries are being displayed there. And the result is absolutely stunning! Ask Jeanlain or Jody for something specific and you'll get it. Their knowledge in their products is as deep as their vats. Bring a vynil and they'll play it, too. If I had to describe the place in 3 words, they'd be : exciting, tasty...

I wanted to visit this bar sometime during my visit to Brussels and got to it randomly after strolling around on the evening. They had just opened up which to me was strange since it said 14 on the internet, but that was due the one supposed to have the day shift not being there, lucky I didn't arrived earlier that day! This left one guy responsible to set up everything, and big respect for him to still be able to deliver top notch service at the same time having many things to take care of!

Good selection of beers both on draft and...

The most alternative place for craft beer in Bxl. You can go to moeder to brew to deli (the latter u dare?) or go tourist (don't). Here at GIST you are served with 18 taps (2 casks). They serve mainly local, alternative, and Anspach&Hopday is also kid at home. The owner is running the place, and everytime I get here, I realise, oh the music... And I (almost) forget on the craft. Four stars, they are top in Bxl, just can't give them five cause abroad the lvl is up, but hey, we are all Belgians and...
