DO NOT ACCEPT SPLIT BILLS AT THE SAME TABLE. My boyfriend and I reserved a table for lunch, ordering a menu with a starter, main, and a drink each.
Food: • The onion soup lacked onion flavor; it seemed like there weren’t enough onions in it. • The pâté was decent. • Raclette cheese was sliced very thin, almost see-through. • The charcuterie was good. • The SPA orange drink tasted like sparkling water with a chemical fruit flavor, not like Orangina or Fanta. • No tap water; only expensive 0.5L bottles for 4.5€.
Service: • Despite a reservation, we were not welcomed properly. • My boyfriend had pâté as a starter, but they didn’t change the dirty cutlery. • I dropped my knife near a waitress, but no one came to replace it. • We asked for the menu, but were given the wine list instead (French is our native language).
Atmosphere: • The waitstaff wore hoodies, which may be comfortable but gave the impression of them being casual and unprofessional. • Loud pop music was playing, which didn’t create a pleasant ambiance. • We overheard staff discussing their colleagues’ tardiness and personal issues, I guess I don’t want to know who is on period while I am at the restaurant
Overall, the restaurant is overpriced for both the quality of food...
Read moreMy friends and I went to Les Fondus de la Raclette Brussels on a Thursday evening and luckily we got a table for the 3 of us. From previous experiences it is very difficult to dine there (especially on the weekend) without any reservation. Nevertheless, we managed and we really had a great time at that place.
The food: Top! Justified value for money ratio and the meat (in this case beef) was of good quality. The service: Super friendly and hospitable! Every single staff member was super attentive, fast and helpful from the beginning until the end. The ambience: Relaxed and comfy! We felt very comfortable due to the nice way of how their tables were placed as well as the easy-going and less tense atmosphere of the whole set-up of the restaurant and staff.
The only thing that was a litte bit of a challenge was the space management... With the 3 of us, we were sitting on a 4-persons table and experienced it as being very tight with the heating plates in the middle of the table, the pans, the fondue, the glasses, the plates, the cutlery... Nevertheless, it was a super nice evening and one small little tip for if you consider to come to this place: Wear a T-SHIRT regardless the season of the year - it gets boiling hot...
Read moreWe’ve visited this restaurant before and always enjoyed the food, which remains tasty. However, the quality of service has noticeably declined and made our recent visit quite disappointing.
Our order had to be changed three times, for reasons that felt more like internal policy confusion than good customer service:
We were not allowed to order a plate with the option to repeat unless everyone at the table ordered the same type of dish — an unnecessary and frustrating restriction.
Then, we were told certain items were unavailable and had to modify our choices again.
Throughout the meal, we had to repeat simple requests multiple times because staff either forgot or weren’t paying attention.
In addition, they turned off the grill at our table without asking, which cut our meal short. For a group of three, they only turned on one grill, forcing us to share a very small cooking area — it was uncomfortable and chaotic.
Overall, while the food is still good, the service is unprofessional and disorganized, making the experience not worth the trouble. Sadly, we can no longer...
