We recently visited this crêperie with my wife, and our experience was quite mixed. On one hand, the service was excellent, and the staff was courteous and welcoming throughout our meal. They were attentive to our needs and tried to make our visit as enjoyable as possible.
However, we could have put our disappointment down to the quality of the crepe, but not to what we experienced in terms of payment. The crêpes seemed pre-cooked and lacked freshness. They fell short of our expectations and had a taste that reminded us of generic horeca crepes from the Metro brand.
The biggest issue arose during payment. Despite the Bancontact logo being displayed, we were informed that this payment method was not accepted. We were asked to go to the nearest bank to withdraw cash, which created some inconvenience. I must clarify, though, that the staff was understanding and explained that it was a management decision and not their fault.
We cannot wholeheartedly recommend this crêperie at the moment, but with improvements, it could offer a more satisfying experience to its customers.
While the staff apologized for the inconvenience, it doesn't change the fact that the crêperie's management needs to get their act together. Such disregard for quality and the inability to handle basic payment methods is simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, despite the polite service, the poor quality of the food and the exasperating payment experience make it impossible for us to recommend this crêperie to anyone. They need to step up their game and provide a far better dining experience before we would ever consider...
Read moreAggressive owner, hot chocolate is actually warm milk; crepes are good.
Although the waitress was kind and nice, the owner has treated us in a rude and arrogant way. We entered (late in the evening) asking if they also had warm drinks like hot chocolate. However, at the table we have seen the crepes menu and got tempted, and asked the waitress if it was possible to have something to eat; otherwise, no big deal, chocolate would have been enough. Very kindly she has told us she had to check with the owner. When he got back he started being rude saying that we had only asked for drinks and that now it was too late to eat. The waitress has tried to tell him that we only asked, but still, he would not listen to her...
Long story short, we had 3 hot chocolates which were basically hot milk. Also, the Cote D'or chocolate they serve as a side was a stone. We put it in the milk to melt it, but it didn't work. You can imagine how hard it was...
By the way, if you don't care about kindness and don't want a hot chocolate you can definitely go, crepes are...
Read moreThe pancakes were unimpressive but ok. However, we had a major issue with the glasses that were obviously either washed without soap, or only in dirty water, because they had a very strong odor of eggs and sulfur, which was unbearable. We asked for new glasses but all smelled the same. The waiter said that he did not smell anything (which is surprising given the very strong smell); then he just grunted and was obviously annoyed by the fact that we asked for clean glasses. I found his attitude rude. In the end we chose not to create a problem and drank directly from the bottles. A final surprise arrived on the ticket: we realized after payment that they counted a more expensive pancake instead of the one we ordered. Since we had paid via Payconiq it would have been a hassle to ask for the money back, which in any case it was a small amount. But we couldn't see before because we received the ticket after payment. One problem over the other, this was a very...
