Mountainside Village (my Starbucks App told me the name of this location) is by far my favourite to visit. Every time my family and I visit from Calgary we are sure to stop in and visit the friendly staff and see the mountains from their beautiful location. The staff are always warm and welcoming, even on the busiest of days, and always deal with all of the customers as if they are regulars, a real small-town vibe! They have gotten to know our family from our frequency of visits and our little ones always get so excited to see everyone and have their special hot chocolates. I have a few allergies that the staff are always so great with, making sure to change out utensils to avoid any possible cross contamination and filling me in on the new specialty drinks to let me know if I can have them, it's a breath of fresh air compared to some of the local shops we've tried that have told me they can't even show me ingredients lists. The sugar/cream area is always tidy, it seems as though someone is always popping around to give the seating area a once-over, and the bathrooms (lines can get a little long sometimes) are always clean. Could definitely benefit from an extra bathroom as this location is always packed, but I know I'll never have to worry about prompt and friendly service from this group of knowledgeable staff. Always a great cup of coffee and a good conversation to be had here, and if you're looking for fun activities, be sure to ask the staff, they know the best local spots and even have some professional athletes on staff to share great skiing tips for the whole...

I had an unpleasant experience because of a staff member named Gabe at this Starbucks location in Canada around 1 PM. I came in with friends and placed our order:
Venti Summer Skies Grande Brown Sugar Oat Blonde Espresso Grande Lavender Cream Frappuccino (with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle) Venti hot Black Americano (no milk) Gabe made an error and said the order was cancelled, so we had to repeat everything. When the drinks came out, the Americano was a Grande instead of Venti, and it had milk in it, even though I clearly asked for no milk.
When I mentioned it, Gabe didn’t apologize — instead, he insisted I ordered a Grande. That was simply not true. We had clearly asked for the largest size. He kept blaming us until we looked visibly upset, and only then did he offer to remake the drink — but by then, the experience was already ruined.
Also, the Frappuccino came without the whipped cream and chocolate drizzle Gabe had offered earlier. I didn’t bother bringing it up because the situation was already disappointing.
This is the first time I’ve seen a Starbucks staff member shift blame to customers instead of taking responsibility. Very unprofessional...
Read moreI do come to this Starbucks often, usually great service. I have had the wrong drink made a couple of times, which resulted in drinking dairy, that I cannot have due to allergy. Today I mobile ordered, after waiting 40 minutes, watching people walk in, order and get their coffee, I asked where mine was. The girl said my order wasn’t there and to go ask the cashier. When I finally got to speak the the cashier, they found my order and told me it’ll be another 10-15 minutes. Meaning 1 single coffee, will take over an hour. This is unacceptable. The system is broken. I understand being busy, but over an hour for 1 coffee, is not okay. I was told I can accept the wait, or have a refund. I am really disappointed, and as someone who spends $7 on a coffee almost every day, I think I’ll have to start getting my daily...
