La Quintessence, the flagship restaurant of the namesake Quintessence Hotel in Mont-Tremblant, offers a dining experience as luxurious as the hotel it resides in. Stepping into the restaurant feels like entering an elegant alpine retreat, where rustic charm meets sophisticated design. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with the comforting crackle of a fire in the stone hearth and the soft glow of wooden beams overhead. Leather armchairs beckon diners to settle in, while the panoramic view of Lac Tremblant serves as a serene backdrop, grounding the space in the breathtaking natural beauty of the region.

Service at La Quintessence is executed with style and grace, a reflection of the restaurant’s elevated standards. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, adding to the refined atmosphere without losing the welcoming, cozy chalet feel.

The menu leans into the local terroir, showcasing both finesse and creativity. To start, we indulged in oysters and microgreen salads, both exquisitely fresh and fully organic—a light prelude to the more robust courses to follow. The highlight of the evening was the venison, a beautifully executed dish that married the natural earthiness of the game with a playful assortment of sides. Wild mushrooms and marinated onions added layers of texture and depth, each bite offering something new to discover. The attention to detail and flavor was impeccable, a testament to the chef’s skill in balancing elegance and heartiness.

As with any dining experience of this caliber, the price does reflect the overall luxury of the establishment. However, for those seeking a peaceful and intimate evening in Mont-Tremblant, with food as elevated as the setting, La Quintessence offers an exceptional choice. The combination of high-quality service, stunning surroundings, and well-executed dishes makes this a destination...

We went to eat lunch at this restaurant on September 3, 2022, and wished we just got up and left at the first few signs of ignorance. At first, we were told that there is only one table available on the patio. Meanwhile, inside of the restaurant, was empty and the hostess said that she will seat us inside. We sat down inside of the restaurant and ordered our food, as per any other restaurant. We waited 45-50 minutes for our food, in the meantime, another couple was seated near us, and got their food in approximately 10 minutes and the lady serving them said and I quote, "it is an honour to serve you". Do we really have to VIP's in order to get some food? We asked for some oil and balsamic for our salads, and the first time the server came to us, they brought a faulty bottle of balsamic, and we returned it. We waited another 10 minutes and the server did not come. I had to leave my wife at the table alone, to try and attempt to get another balsamic bottle from the server. On my way to exchange the bottle of balsamic, I saw a supervisor and told him what had happened and we got another bottle of blasmic that worked properly. We ate and left, and we felt extremely judged and unwanted at this restaurant. Is this restaurant only for VIP's? Do you discriminate against others? I don't understand why this has happened, it's 2022 and this is Canada. An unbelievable experience, and we cannot believe this had happened on our vacation through the region. We will most definitely be spreading the word about this service and...

This was supposed to be our "special" dinner on vacation. The food was good, the service was fairly average, but the unfortunate part of this experience was the atmosphere. The dining room itself is beautiful but the clientele was wild. There was a guest yelling at the bartender, there was a child having a meltdown crying, and a family that sat next to us that was complaining loudly about how much money they spent and how unpleasant their experience was (related to equipment rentals in Tremblant and limo service). We asked to move so we wouldn't have to listen to them and were denied. Later, another couple asked to move to the very same empty table we asked for and were accommodated. My husband and I have worked in the service industry for over a decade and for spending $200 on dinner, this was deeply disappointing. I was wishing the whole time that my dinner would arrive faster so we could quickly eat and leave. No one came to check on us, after the yelling, crying, or complaining. I...

Amazing service. Our waitress was really super nice, not putting any pressure on us whatsoever, really just a very attentionate sweetheart. The food was good, but nothing breathtaking. The pan fried Foie Gras we had was crispy on the outside which was not exactly as expected. We ordered lobster mushroom Risotto and there was really way too much parmesan in it. It was very salty. It wasn’t like disgusting, but we would have appreciated if they would have let us decide on the amount of parmesan. On a more positive front, we had the sweetbread appetizer which was delicious. We also had the paella main which was great and fresh. For desert we had the macarons and they were good (not sure if they were made in house). Also, their cocktail menu is really top notch. We tried the Newton Sour (an apple brandy based sour) and it was really amazing. I think this restaurant is definitely better than the Choux Gras from Fairmount, but still needs to be maybe more tightly runned on the kitchen front.

My husband and I had a great experience here celebrating our anniversary! The restaurant is beautiful and the views of the lake are stunning. Our waiter was funny, pleasant and very attentive. The food was phenomenal! I had a French onion soup to start (delicious) and my husband had the sea beam ceviche (he thoroughly enjoyed it). We had the prime rib sharing platter for dinner. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and it came with an array of sautéed vegetables including mushrooms, potatoes, baby corn, carrots, brussel sprouts, etc. It was more than enough for two people - we couldn’t finish the full platter. The wine list was great, but expensive at an average of $21-22 per glass. It was definitely more than your average meal out, but we felt that it was well worth the money.
