Bistro GURU — Restaurant in Montreal

Went here for dinner the other night and I was impressed. It's a small cozy restaurant thats almost hidden from the outside. It has a warm candle lit environment and is very comfortable to be in. For appetizers we ordered samosas and the onion bhaji, they were both amazing and had the perfect amount of spice and flavor. The onion bhaji was definitely one of my favorites of this meal. For drinks I ordered a mango Lassi, it was perfectly sweet and I could really taste the mango. For the main course we ordered butter chicken and Tikka masala, both came with naan bread and rice. The butter chicken was amazing and melted in your mouth, I've been to alot Indian restaurants and this butter chicken is in my top 5 best! The tikka masala was very flavorful and had a good consistency. For dessert we ordered gulab jamun, it was very sweet and perfectly warm and soft. The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout the meal. They were very nice, they clearly care about their customers! As for price it is a little on the exspensive side but for how large the portions are it's definitely worth it. I also hear they do great delivery (through apps) so I would recommend that if you live in the area. I'm so glad I got to eat here and I would recommend this place to anyone who likes good...

The food is good but do not order from them. I called in about two hours prior for my delivery to come in at a specific time. It came in 45 mins late & I had to call about 3 times for the person to actually check on the delivery guy and ask where he was ... and she only did it when i was telling the person on the phone that i was basically going to have to cancel the order because i had to go back to work and my break was over. I understand that for whatever reason, they might be late but not once did the delivery guy or the restaurant tried to notify me that there was a delay and when the delivery guy came in the only thing he said was that "the rain didn't help"... so i am guessing nothing major happened for him to come late without notifying me when i left them my number. This situation was highly unprofessional and...

My sister and I stumbled onto this place yesterday and we are SO happy that we did! The restaurant was really beautifully decorated, it was fancy and relaxing, and really great for a date or one-on-one experience as you could have a conversation without it being too loud - overall, super cozy chic vibes. Our waiter Rubel was so friendly, attentive and had the greatest recommendations for us too. Huge portions, incredibly flavourful, fluffy naan... My sister is vegetarian and I love lamb so there were many options for both of us. The food was honestly very fresh and delicious, we even had enough for lunches the next day! Honestly all in all, we are already planning to go back and bring our families because it was a wonderful and delicious experience... Thank you Rubel, can't wait to see...
