Buchanans Steak & Seafood — Restaurant in Niagara Falls

I recently had a 5-day stay at the Hilton DoubleTree and I booked this hotel not only for its location and view of the falls because it had a nice restaurant on site so if I didn't feel like walking around to find my food I could just get something inside the hotel.

On the very first morning I realized I was wrong thinking that the food here is not very good it is lacking a lot of flavor I ordered the California eggs benedict and the spinach was slimy and the eggs were cold. The home fries had no flavor at all and I couldn't even get the attention of the waitress to get some water or I refill at the coffee and speaking of the coffee the coffee is absolutely terrible. Maybe it's terrible on purpose so you're forced to buy a Starbucks from the lobby but it was undrinkable. This was the first and last time I ate at this restaurant for the rest of my trip I either ordered in with doordash or went out and found something to eat huge mistake trying to eat at the built-in restaurant in this hotel. Stayed at the DoubleTree and went down to order dinner to our room. I had to wait about 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, but they did only have a few staff members running around like crazy!

The Chicken Caprese was delivered to our room about 20 minutes after we placed the order, just as the courteous waiter said it would be. I was surprised when it did arrive right on time!

The food was hot and delicious! The portion is American sized... ample enough for my daughter and I to share a dinner and have leftovers for a little bedtime snack!

Cute wooden knives and sporks were included... though the knife was as efficient at cutting chicken as a pencil 🤨 Not the restaurant's fault, though! But, grab some plastic cutlery elsewhere, if you can.

The menu is confusing... they need to update Google. The images of the menu were what I had to choose from. I didn't ask about the availability of other items not listed, but I've seen customer images of the Duck Confit Spring Rolls, which are listed on the Google menu but not the in store menu, so it's...

I took my husband and 2 children here for the first time. We went for my husband's birthday dinner. The atmosphere was nice. The food was delicious. Prices were fair. Our server Eiryn was great. We enjoyed it so much we returned for breakfast the next day. Delia was our server. She did well also. Breakfast was delicious and prices were fair. Service was quick also.

Updated Review 3 years later Took my family for breakfast as we have loved our past experiencea. We stood waiting to be seated for about 8 minutes without even an acknowlegment we were standing there. It was not busy at all. Ordered our drinks and breakfasts. My sons chocolate milk was milk with partially mixed in chocolate syrup. Out of 4 of the breakfasts ordered 3 of us couldn't finish because it was so awful. Waffles and pancakes seemed stale. My eggs benedict were gag worthy. The peameal bacon was cold and the texture of the eggs was unlike anything I have eaten. $100.00 wasted. Sadly we will not...
