Canât Wait to Go Back!
We went to the Red Ganache Bake Shop last week because it was on the âHot Chocolate Trailâ of Niagara Falls, Canada and weâd never had lavender in hot chocolate. It sounded like an adventure.
The Red Ganache was surprising for a number of reasons. It was less than 5 minutes from the Falls and only half a block off the beaten path, with free parking. From the front entrance of the Doubletree Hotel on Stanley Street, you could see the Red Ganache (5592 Robinson Street). The Bake Shop felt cozy in the cold of February, and I bet the patio would be nice in warm weather.
It had over 25 beautiful confections. Yes, over 25! And they were reasonably priced for such lovely creations. It took me a while to decide what to have there and what to bring home. The owner patiently waited on my decision before serving the cocoa (made from scratch; real chocolate rather than the substitute). I finally decided on the Key Lime Tart ($6.75 CD) and my husband chose the Carrot Cake. The owner, Pradeep, clearly took pride in his shop and served the cocoas and the delicacies as if they were High Tea â even with special mugs. There were lavender sprigs on top of my cocoa and it had lavender flavoring. I loved it. My husbandâs Irish-Cream-flavored cocoa was subtle, lovely, and non-alcoholic. My Key Lime Tart was luscious! (Iâd like another right now!) My husbandâs Carrot Cake was just how he likes it â moist, tasty, and not too sweet. Everything was DELICIOUS!
We brought home the dark-chocolate-encased Chocolate Coconut Cream, another slice of Carrot Cake for my husband, and the Chocolate Raspberry Mousse. The Chocolate Coconut Cream had multiple layers, as many of the cakes did, and the Mousse was in a plastic, rectangular container with its own tiny, pretty spoon. They all looked BEAUTIFUL and were SCRUMPTIOUS!
As another reviewer said, I want to return to Niagara Falls just for this Bake Shop alone (as if the Falls werenât enough!). Iâd like to have the Key Lime Tart and the Chocolate Raspberry Mousse and the Chocolate Coconut Cream again! And, given the reviews, Iâd like to try a Croissant â perhaps one with Salmon AND a Pistachio Ăclair AND the Peanut Butter Mousse AND the Mango Puffed Pastry!! Obviously, weâre going to have another wonderful take-home box next time!
Pradeep also does wedding and specialty cakes, as well as dessert tables.
The Red Ganache is open 6 days a week, closed Tuesdays. On weekdays, itâs open 10 till 5. On weekends, it closes later. ...

If you are looking for gorgeous looking baked goods, have We got a place for you. Red Ganache Bakery in Niagara Falls, (and Pelham) has a huge assortment of pastries and desserts that look too good to eat. They are perfect in their appearance - clear sharp lines, gorgeous mirror glazes, bright (but natural) colours, uniform shapes and consistencies - these pastries are works of art.
A fellow travel blogger visited recently and posted about their visit on Social Media, and as regular visitors to NF, I was floored that I had no idea where this place was. We had never heard of them before, but since This other travel bloggerâs post, I kept in the back of my mind, so that the next time we were looking for baked goods in NF, we would visit. So, we finally did.
We didnt order a lot - we selected items that were either most visually appealing or flavours we naturally gravitate towards. The raspberry mousse is the epitome of the perfection and craftsmanship they put into their desserts. Shimmering bright red and Sharp clean lines. â¨One of us loves eclairs - and when they are in an interesting flavour like pistacchio we cannot say no. The croissants - I am obsessed with Almond Croissants almost as much as butter tarts, and when the lady working said she could have a âfresh one made just for meâ - of course I took her up on it. The croissants were gorgeous - the frills, decorations, the appearance, the even (and LIGHTLY coloured) bake - what can i say but WOW. they were amazing.
I Had a conversation with the lady working there about their products, length of time there, options available. etc. â¨She was very friendly, and pleasant to talk to.
Let me be clear - these baked goods are not cheap. They come with a slightly higher price point than your average bakery - BUT - let me also be very clearâŚ. This is NOT your average bakery. These are culinary works of art. A Real Pasty chef makes these delicious treats, and the quality shows. These are the kind of pastries to show off, savour, and enjoy - they are an experience - and not just to shove in your face as quickly as possible. Take your time and truly enjoy the mastery of...
Read moreIâm so excited to share my experience in this amazing bake shop in Niagara Falls! This place deserves my first ever review!
We were attracted by all kinds of beautiful cakes/pastries in display, including Paris Brest with hazelnut cream, pistachio eclairs, cream puffs, crème brÝlÊe torched to order, which are hard to find in other bake shops in this area! A friendly staff told us they also had croissants, cranberry muffins, sourdough and so on.
Me and my daughter tried their famous strawberry shortcake which was really delicious! Fresh strawberries with real cream, light texture and not too sweet, with thin layers of vanilla pastry cream inside, so tastyđ.
They offer variety of croissants, such as pistachio,Nutella, ham and cheese, smoked salmon and so on. We ordered the ham and cheese and it tasted so good! The croissant itself was light and flaky, with nice buttery aroma, top was baked with honey glaze. There were ham, torched cheese slices, pickled onions, micro greens in it. All ingredientsâ flavors were balanced well together with good amount of mustard mayo. Itâs a must try if you are looking for savory croissant!
I ordered the new drink from menu - Tiramisu latte. They use high quality coffee pods to make espresso, which makes latte taste so good. With the light cream cheese foam on top, a touch of saltiness brings the latte to next level! Served with a chocolate dipped lady finger. Highly recommended!
Before we go, we grabbed a bag of double chocolate cookies and thatâs the best chocolate cookies in town! Rich chocolate flavor, crunch outside, moist in middle. I should have grabbed another bag! I saw they also have gingersnap, chocolate chip, almond, pecan cookies. So many choices!
Itâs our first time visiting this stunning bake shop, and the food and drink are even better! Service was fast and excellent! It was a nice sunny day, we were sitting on the patio, the food was served right to our table in a timely manner, we really enjoyed our time here with these lovely treats. Will definitely come back again!
Shout out to chef and all...
