I was visiting Niagara falls for the first time, coming from Toronto, and had the worst dine-out experience ever in my life (23 years). Honestly, there were not that many good places around Niagara so we decided to try Hard Rock Cafe since it was one of the closest.
My friends and I (8 people) regretted that we end up going there. Menu is quite limited so most of us just chose the burgers and every one of them was awful. The patty of mine was definitely overburnt, but since I am not a picky eater I decided to give it a try although my friends told me to ask for the new one. I gave it a bite with hope it's tasty but it was so dry... Then i decided to check whether it had any sauce, and found out there was no any at all..... I asked my friends about theirs and they all had tasteless burgers without any sauce. Then I asked the waiter to change my burnt burger in hope the new one will be better but it was hopeless. Quickly the waiter brought the "new" burger which didn't seem to be different from the previous. My photos attached show everything from inside. The patty was weird it seemed that the cooker just scraped the burnt surface and left it as it was. I finally realized that they just gave me the same burger with a scraped patty after I noticed the bite from one side that I made with the first burger. I could not believe my eyes and just could not believe that this famous franchise could do something like this to their customers!!! The waitress didn't want to confess and lied to us saying the previous burger was thrown by her to the garbage. But the bite mark proved us different...
Also only after my friend pointed out that the bbq burger should have some sauce and there was no any sauce in the burger, the waitress brought the sauces in mini containers for everyone separately. I poured my sauce on this poor scraped patty and tried to have it but sauce didn't help at all so I just asked the waitress to cancel my order. It was the most frustrating experience I've ever had. I didn't know that burger could taste that bad.
Please never go there!!! My friends who still tried to finish their burgers, since they were all very hungry after falls, needed to pay ~$45 for the worst burger + taxes + 18% mandatory service fee for the big group... Please don't spend...
Read moreWe were visiting Niagara Falls on an international program with University of Toronto. It was raining outside and we were a group of hungry and drenched teenagers. We came to Hard Rock Cafe in search of a friendly environment where we could decompress and enjoy our food. However, unfortunately, Hard Rock Cafe did not fill those desires whatsoever. We came in with another group from our program, which we requested that we were seated separately from. Our group was only seven people, not a part of the other group. We were sat at separate tables, neither of our groups were over eight people. When we tried to order the waiter made it very clear how she felt about our group. We were met with rolled eyes, a sarcastic tone, and a haughty attitude from our server, Joya. We believe this behavior is highly unacceptable and ageist. This waitress did not meet the profesional attitude that we expected from a corporation with a reputation as prominent as Hard Rock Cafe. After eating and receiving our food, it came time for us to pay the bill. We were all prepared to pay the price on the menu, and the appropriate tax. However, when we received the bill, we were shocked at the 18% mandatory fee for groups over eight. We were a group of seven, as we were seated and ordered in a group of seven, unassociated with the other people from our program. We talked to the waitress and tried to dispute this charge, yet we were met with even more of a snarky attitude. Our concerns were not taken seriously. For example, nachos that should have only been 43 CAD and a bit more for tax, totaled 59.17 CAD. We left the cafe after paying the full bill, but felt targeted, victimized, and like we were less then the other guests. Overall we were severely disappointed with our experience and will not be returning to any Hard...
Read moreStarted off being that there was only two of us we was given the worse table in the house. Next we noticed a International line og Burgers and that it would be great to try a couple of them. The burgers ended up costing me over $35 for each one of them. We got our food and they just seemed plain and nothing special. I had eaten three/forth of mine and my wife had eaten half of her's. We notice the burgers didn't have all what the menu said especially the sauces. We told our waitress and she went and got us some. It made a world of difference with the burgers. I told this to her when she got back and she replied that was great and she was glad we had noticed it before we had eaten all the burgers and missed out on the experience. Well one might thought they would have reduced my bill by at least the price of one of the burgers, but they did not. SO..... if you go here be careful and check out the accuracy/quality of your food. There is a Hard Rock coming to my home town...... SO, I guess I better be careful with my experience there too. As I travel I am finding this type of disappointments in all aspects of the service industry. Update....... got reply from the manager that who pretty much just side stepped the issuse. NOTE, He had a personal email address show up on his reply. So, I sent him more details and told him he had it all wrong. My follow up email directly to him did not get there. Does anyone have a idea why?? He wasn't interested I guess because he refused my email and Google said they couldn't deliver it to him because of that reason. Well, I am going to move on because he is waisting more of my time. BESIDES his overall reviews average little over 3 stars so at some point I am sure he will have to take a interest in...
