Dropped in for a bite last night. Place was pretty empty. Got seated with menus fine, waited for drink order for a while probably closer to 15 minutes while servers were cleaning tables. Just a the point where we were going to get up and leave someone came over , " oh you must have snuck past me "the waiter said . Funny you were looking right at us while you were cleaning tables. Got drinks ordered. Looked over the menus figured it was going to be pricey cause I mean we are in the casino. But $23 for plain burger, add bacon+$3,add +$3cheese pricey but then add $1 for lettuce onion, tomato. Really?? Opted for the $19 poutine instead of a $30 burger. My wife said nothing looks appealing for her but she ordered a Chilli and toast for$14. The food come out as fast as I told it to the server. Was literally like 2 minutes. The poutine bowl was small, like a household cereal bowl. I tried maybe 3 bites and decided, I can't eat. The gravy was so starchy and thick , I could stand my fork up. It was like glue. And the fries were mushy , it seemed like they made 100 bowls ahead of time and just put gravy on as ordered. My wife Chilli was also uneventful. Understand the Chilli made ahead of time. Our fault. Pushed the dishes aside and tried to decide where else we could goto eat. Within a couple of minutes, a different server came and asked " can I take these? The bowls had maybe 4 bites out of each of them, a clear sign that we weren't enjoying this meal. But maybe they are used to clearing full plates because the food is terrible. I said " man that's the worst poutine I've had in my life! It was terrible! And my wife said "yes mine was no good either. His response was ok sorry about that. 5 minutes go by , no manager, no nothing. A third server brings the bill " says someone took off the poutine. The bill was 24$ for 2 pop and a terrible old Chilli. It was a rip-off and the worst food I've ever had. Never again. Don't go here. Save your money for the...
Read moreWe went to go check out this place since the Grand Buffet is no longer. When we walked in and sat at our table we thought this would be a good experience. Were we ever wrong. First of all, an extra $3 for cheese and another extra $3 for bacon is pricey but whatever. After we ordered our drinks and food, the food was quick to come to the table. Here’s where we ran into problems. We both wanted to add condiments to our burgers, but there was only enough ketchup in the bottle for one of us to add to our burgers. I waited for someone to come around to ask for more, but nobody came down to our area. So I squeezed what I could from the bottle and made do with what I had. The bacon was undercooked, gummy and rubbery. I’d expect better for a $3 upcharge. As I was almost finished with my burger, I tasted something was a bit off and saw that the patty was still a bit raw, which is a big no-no here in Ontario. When we finally managed to flag down a waitress, we just asked for the bill. She asked how everything was, and I mentioned that I couldn’t finish my burger as it wasn’t fully cooked. I showed her, and immediately she went to get someone to come take a look. Two men who seemed to be cooks came out of the kitchen and explained to me that “meat with gristle takes longer to cook than the rest” and that “they would let the others know to be more careful when cooking burgers”. Thanks for the cooking lesson 🙄 I work in the food industry and I know that serving ground beef raw is unacceptable. I didn’t appreciate being talked to as a child and feeling belittled. They didn’t offer any compensation whatsoever. We waited another 30 minutes and finally flagged someone else down to ask for the bill again. We paid the ridiculous $78 and left extremely disappointed. We will never return, and will not recommend this...
Read moreWorst service repeatedly. I've dined here on 3 separate occasions, and each time the service was terrible. Each time our food took an excessive amount of time to come out, each time our server never came by to see if we needed refills or explain the delay. In fact on 2 occasions we had to chase someone down and ask where our food was. Miraculously it comes out almost immediately every time. It is not unusual for the wait staff to be gathered off to the side chit chatting, managers in another area doing the same. On our latest, visit we waited 50 minutes for our food, after chasing our server down for it. The waiter first said the delay was because there was a line to get in (when we arrived the place was maybe half full). Then he said the delay was because I ordered chicken fingers!? Meanwhile, a table who's order went in the exact same time as ours had their fingers and we're almost finished. Our salad had no dressing, and he said it did, it's just underneath the salad. Not. We asked for a manager, and refills as no one asked in the 50 minutes we sat there. The manager explained there was a glitch with a printer in the kitchen. So? When our order went in, there were only a few others at the time, and it wasn't complicated...there were two of us. If it was a legit issue that meant it was impossible to relay our order to the kitchen, maybe come out and explain it, maybe offer an app! Instead the manager gave us one entree at no charge. While the one salad came without dressing, the Caesar I had had brow leaves and was mostly the core of the Romain, less than half of...
