Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Niagara Falls

This was the worst Popeyes experience ever. I am a beloved customer. I moved away from Ontario in 2019 to Newfoundland where we do not have Popeyes. So after years of absence we really wanted to have some since we are celebrating my daughter's highschool graduation.

1. The 5 booths were filthy.
2. The staff seemed polite, efficient and in a rush to keep up with demand.
3. The chicken was extremely dry.
4. I asked for the 8 piece family meals and got three small mash potatoes instead of the large size. I was not made aware of this. I was observing them picking out half and half when I ordered all spicy. I was not told about this substitution because there was not enough spicy pieces but they also did not invite me to wait for a new batch of spicy.
5. The regular pieces of chicken (not spicy) made us sick. We ate it instantly after walking back to the hotel and it made us violently ill for hours. I had a fridge in my room and had put the remainder in there. We dared to eat it for lunch the next day because I wanted to know for sure if it was the not spicy that poisoned us. Guess what? We were not sick after eating it.

Please save yourselves the stomach trouble and ask when the chicken was made. If it's too dry say something and it was all gut and bowel problems. We were fine days leading upto that moment and fine 24 hours after the violent exiting from the body.

It was very inconvenient, dangerous and not a happy way to celebrate graduation after YEARS with no access to Popeyes in a province that worships Mary Browns.

So... I still love Popeyes and really hope proper food handling is followed and staff are certified and restaurant inspected. As someone who is certified I seen violations and verified by the experience of food...

Went with my family, first they tell you, they don’t accept credit ni debit card, only cash (weird) you can smell greasy and dirty this place, washroom looks like old highway, mess everywhere not soap, basket overflowed of toilet paper, water spread over floor, light switch on and off by itself staying totally dark inside washroom, we ordered a family meal, and 2 sandwich, chicken was greasy, raw inside, and when we almost finish meal, my son found out a long hair inside of a piece of chicken, he went to complain at counter and they reimburse $2.75 because it was chicken piece value, so we stopped eating immediately, I went to washroom to wash my hand, when I came back my son told me , so I went back to talk with manager, he told me that only will return $2.75 because it was chicken piece cost, so I told him we couldn’t finish our meal because we feel sick immediately due to this hair, so he said he could give me the order again, I said ok, so he asked in a rude way to give him back rest of our family pack in same box, so I did, so he told me we ate too much chicken and now we couldn’t return, and he returned $2.75 and it was fair, I said NOT, I told him it wasn’t fair, so after doing some rude gesture with his face, he accepted to return our pay for only family pack, not for sandwich neither for drinks, please keep away of this dirty place.
