I recently dined at Burgers n' Fries Forever, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From the ordering process to the quality of the food, there were several significant issues that ultimately led me to decide that I will not be returning to this establishment.
Firstly, the online ordering system was lacking a crucial feature: the ability to remove toppings. As someone with potential allergies, this oversight is concerning. I believe it is essential for restaurants to accommodate customers' dietary needs, and the absence of this option is a major letdown.
To rectify this, I called the restaurant immediately after placing my order online. Regrettably, the man who answered the phone displayed a remarkable lack of professionalism and empathy. Instead of assisting me with my request, he was rude and made it seem like a burden to remove the toppings. He reluctantly agreed this time but explicitly mentioned that it wouldn't be possible in the future. This kind of customer service is simply unacceptable, especially when it comes to potential allergens.
Moving on to the food itself, the Korean chicken sandwich had a promising flavor. However, the bun was disappointingly soggy, making it challenging to eat without everything falling apart. The structural integrity of a sandwich is crucial, and this issue significantly detracted from the overall experience. I would rate this dish a mediocre 6 out of 10.
Next up was the American smash burger, which was visually unappealing upon arrival. The patty was severely overcooked, resulting in a dry and unsatisfying texture. Additionally, the excessive amount of mustard completely overwhelmed the other flavors. While the onions were decent, the overall presentation and taste of the burger were far from desirable.
Although the staff inside the restaurant seemed friendly, it's disheartening that the positive interactions with them couldn't compensate for the lackluster food and abysmal customer service. Furthermore, the prices here did not align with the quality of the food received, making it even harder to justify a return visit.
In conclusion, my experience at Burgers n Fries was thoroughly disappointing. The absence of a crucial feature in their online ordering system, coupled with the rude and unhelpful attitude of the man who answered the phone, left a sour taste in my mouth. The subpar quality of the food, with a soggy and difficult-to-eat sandwich and an unappetizing, dry smash burger, further solidified my decision not to patronize this...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with our experience at Burger N Fries Forever tonight. We dined in at around 7pm (Dec 30th 2021) and the 2 males working behind the counter were incredibly rude from the moment we walked in. After ordering food for our entire party of 5 people, and showing them proof of vaccination, we went ahead to get seated. There was a couple sitting on the far right side and two tables beside them, so in order to distance our party of 5 from the couple seated, we brought the 2 tables together to the far left side. Almost immediately, both males working (who were staring at us from the minute we walked in) jump in our faces to very rudely say we cannot move the tables??! Then one of us asked for an extra chair since she wouldn’t have a place to sit with the 2 tables separated, and was just told “No!”. We a party of 5 that came in together and ordered under one bill, so we expect to be accommodated together, and say it’s some policy they have, they could’ve politely told us and maybe explained their reasoning as to why our party of 5 could not dine together BEFORE we bought the food when they saw us walking in together, we would have been understanding. It doesn’t stop there, the entire time we are trying to eat the stringy chicken skin covered in batter that they call a Nashville burger, and scraps of overcooked fries, they kept looking at us. While seated and eating, a few other customers walked in and were treated very differently. Towards the end of our dining in, we realized that both customer washrooms were out of service, one had a “Out of Service” sign, the other washroom didn’t but the sink faucet wasn’t working. As we were trying to figure out how to wash/clean our hands after eating burgers, one of us went to get napkins, obviously unable to wear a mask with greasy hands, one of the males asks that she wears her mask, again in a rude unwelcoming tone. As another one of us stood beside our tables, both males aggressively approached her to tell her to wear a mask. It was very obvious that they had us in mind and wanted to keep picking on us. This made our experience incredibly unpleasant, along with eating below average food. DO NOT dine here, you might randomly be selected to be picked on and served...
Read moreI would have put 5 stars, if it wasn't for the service. I took my son yesterday for burgers, after his exams (he - and I - love burgers).
We ordered a double beef burger, a spicy chicken burger with cheddar and a birria burger, to eat in. We confirmed our order and paid, with the cashier, then gave her our name so that she could call us to pick up our order.
10 minutes later she called us and brought the burgers : a double beef burger and a chicken burger. I noticed that the chicken burger didn't have spicy oil and had swiss cheese instead of cheddar. I assumed that she just mixed it up with the other chicken burger recipe and that wasn't a big deal. I didn't want to complain, as I expected she would throw the food and re-do another burger. So no problem. The birria burger was missing but we thought she just needed more time to prepare it, so again, no problem.
A few minutes later, our name was called again and then 3 burgers were served: our actual order.
It turns out they mixed up our order with someone else's. We told her so and picked up our actual order. She then came at our table to complain:
"That's not how it works. You're actually eating food that you haven't paid for."
We explained that we wanted to eat the food that we ACTUALLY paid for (except for the double beef burger, which was the same in the two orders), but she ignored us and left. Upon leaving, we brought the untouched burger she mentioned and they simply threw it away. She was so rude and unfriendly that it ruined our experience, although I usually love the food at BFF.
So unfortunately, I don't think I'll go back anytime soon and I was really...
