This place was awful. I ordered the "Loved" acai bowl and couldn't have been more underwhelmed. They served the bowl without granola (a pretty important ingredient to the dish) and when I asked where it was they said they sold out of it. You'd think they would maybe mention that before I ordered but I suppose they were hoping I wouldn't notice . They topped the acai with literally 4 blueberries, 4 tiny pieces of banana, and 4 pieces of strawberry. Considering I paid nearly $15 for it you'd think they would be a little more generous with the toppings, especially considering they were missing a key ingredient, but nope-- they make their bowls as cheaply as possible to ensure they rip you off the maximum amount possible.
I also ordered the bowl to stay in so that I could avoid single use materials, but this place is so cheap they can't even bother to stock glass bowls and proper utensils despite the fact that they offer in house seating. So it would seem they care as little about sustainability as they do their customers.
With new management I could see this place doing well, but whoever is running it now seems to be completely out of touch with the world and even their own message.
There are loads of great places to get vegan/vegetarian bowls in Toronto. I'd highly recommend visiting any of them before coming to this place as you're sure to have a...
Read moreI've gone to this place a few times to try different items on the menu and each time I was left extremely disappointed.
First off, the staff are rude, it wasn't just one encounter with one employee, every single time I've gone they are always miserable, 5 people are working yet they twiddle their thumbs standing around instead of helping customers.
The first time I went it was before they had their new menu with the vegan/vegetarian/gluten free options labelled and I asked the staff which menu items are vegan and they didn't have a clue. Afterwards I even emailed the company and asked them if they could tell me which items are vegan since their own staff didn't know and never got a response. Very unprofessional.
After the new menu was released (with vegan/vegetarian/gluten free labelled) menu items are incorrectly labelled as vegan when they have eggs in them (i.e. the remarkable bowl).
Lastly, my most recent visit and most disappointment is when I paid 15$ (including tax) for a smoothie bowl that was PRE-MADE (smoothies/bowls need to be made to order because they are gross when they sit in a bucket), only to be filled half way full, in the smallest container, topped with 3 blueberries, THREE. There are SO many better places in Yorkville to get food do not waste...
Read moreThe food is good but of the 3 times I've been here, twice they have messed up my order. Both times, I had ordered the Blessed bowl, and swapped out one item for another. (With sweet potato noodles instead of kale) The cashier wrote it down on the paper placemat and I still watched the one woman make it wrong - quinoa with kale. When I asked her about it, she was confused until another worker pointed out the swap on the placemat. She then remakes it but completely leaves out the quinoa. When I asked her about it, she seemed confused - yet again - and didn't know why I was asking for the quinoa too. The two behind the counter asked me what I wanted to do, looked annoyed that they might have to remake it again when I told them it's fine. Forget it. They eventually just gave me a random side bowl of quinoa separate from my Blessed bowl. We had also ordered some cold tea and had to remind them for the cups so we could get our drink. The accuracy and service is not great - it felt very disorganized. The woman preparing our food was not-confidently staring at (I'm assuming) a recipe on the counter and unsure of what she was actually putting into our bowls. Food is decent - if I could actually get...
