Worth Waiting For (Even in the Cold!)

Havana Sangwich in Toronto has become a personal obsession, and for good reason. After four visits, I can confidently say this place delivers consistently spectacular Cuban cuisine and Colombian delights. From the moment you step in, the vibrant atmosphere transports you.

Let's talk about the food: every single dish I've tried has been great. The sandwiches, of course, are the stars – perfectly pressed, bursting with flavor, and generously portioned. Whether you're a fan of the classic Cubano or want to explore their other offerings, you won't be disappointed. Beyond the sandwiches, their sides are equally impressive. The plantains are sweet and caramelized, and the yuca fries are crispy and addictive. Each bite is a testament to the authentic flavors and quality ingredients they use. I recently tried their Colombian hotdogs and they were glorious.

However, the popularity of Havana Sangwich is no secret. Be prepared to wait, especially during peak hours. Finding a seat can be a real challenge, and the small space can feel quite crowded. But honestly, the food is so good, it's worth the wait.

I'm eagerly anticipating the warmer weather, when the outdoor seating will hopefully alleviate some of the congestion. Imagine enjoying a delicious bite, soaking up the Toronto sunshine – pure bliss.

Highly...

This restaurant is a hidden gem and one of the highlights of our trip to Toronto. It's not very big with a few tables inside and outside just a couple minutes away from the CN tower on foot. We almost missed it but I'm glad it caught our eye on our way back to the car. The menu is great and priced well and the staff are friendly and didn't mind listening to me practice my Spanish. Sara who took our order is from Colombia and is one of a kind in every way imagineable. It's hard to find someone who actually cares about their customers and her spirit helped bring ours up. I didn't catch the name of the guy from Cuba but I believe he was the manager and had the feel of a brother or friend. The staff, the food and the music are top notch and bring heart to the city of Toronto. I never thought I could get authentic Colombian empanadas without flying to Colombia. Even the drinks were authentic. I went to all the recommened places i could find and this one beats them all. Don't miss this restaurant and I'll be returning everytime I'm in the city. Thank you for the wonderful...

Authentic Cuban Hospitality & Flavors – 10/10!

If you’re looking for incredible Cuban food in Toronto, this spot is a must-visit! We arrived close to closing time, expecting the usual rushed service, but instead, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, something that’s rare to find in Toronto these days.

The food? Absolutely fantastic—every bite was packed with authentic Cuban flavors. From start to finish, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. And the tres leches dessert? Hands down, one of the best I’ve ever had! Light, moist, and just the right amount of sweetness.

Highly recommend this place for amazing service, delicious food, and an overall top-notch experience. 10/10! Will...
