Service at the Brookfield Place location was quick and friendly. They initially forget to include in our takeaway bag one of the bowls we had purchased and we had to go back and ask for it, but it was ready to go when we returned to the counter and asked.
Restaurant was clean and comfortable. It would be great if they included caloric and fat content for the dishes on the menu board. I understand that it's not a requirement for small chains, but given their target market, I think it's something they might wish to consider adopting.
I ordered the Mexican bowl with no add-ons with a lemon-lime bubbly water, and while the dish was tasty, the rice in the dish was not fully cooked and was still a little hard. It was about 70% cooked, so the outside looked cooked, but when I ate it, there was a distinct hard centre. My dining companion tried some of the rice alone as well, and confirmed that it was not fully cooked. I'm not sure if the rice is intentionally served undercooked, or if that was an oversight in the kitchen, but it was the worst part of the meal and brought my rating down from a 4 to a 2. The undercooked rice was edible - but with difficulty. As a result, I did not eat the rice in my dish. I also did not mention it to the staff as I was already feeling like I had bothered them for having to ask for my missing order, and I could eat everything but the rice, and I didn't want them to have to remake the bowl since the rest of it was edible. Everything else in the bowl was tasty and fresh. The crunchy tostada crumble and the sweet potato were particularly tasty.
So, the big question is, will I go back? I don't know. I might go back and give them a second chance as everything else was good, but if the rice or another "supposed to be fully cooked" item is served undercooked again, then I will probably decide that I've given them enough chances and I...
Read moreImpact Kitchen puts health first, but not at the expense of flavor. Everything I tried looked great, tasted even better and felt like it was made with care. You order at the counter, get a number, and food comes over when it’s ready. Super casual, super easy.
I’m in town for work and came here twice already. The Wild Turmeric wellness drink was similar to golden milk. I also tried the tomato, feta, and avocado toast and it was as fresh as it gets. The peach collagen spritzer was light, refreshing, and went perfectly with the toast.
The real surprise was the wellness broth. It’s kind of like drinking a savory latte, if that makes sense. Mine had chicken broth, coconut milk, ginger, lime, turmeric, chaga, lion’s mane, and a bunch of other good-for-you ingredients. It tasted like health, but in a really satisfying way.
The space is clean and modern. The staff are friendly and super helpful, especially if you’re not sure what to try.
Definitely a great spot for a quick, healthy meal that doesn’t feel like...
Read moreI LOVE Impact Kitchen; I order weekly from Uber Eats or directly through the Impact Kitchen app. This is the forth time in a month my order has had missing items. In the past, I have walked back to the location to tell them about the missing item, they give me the missing item and a chocolate salted cookie as an apology. At first it was a nice gesture, but mistakes happen so frequently, the cookie is an insult especially since it’s the buy one, get the second free cookie. I’m not looking for a free item, I’m just looking for ownership of the missing items and to improve. On the Impact Kitchen app, there is no way to submit a complaint. It appears this location (Bay Street) is the only location that I have issues with which is a shame cause it’s so close...
