Pros: yes, the pourover and matcha lattes are high quality. Dine in service is lovely as the staff will bring your food to your table, offer water if you’ve stayed a while, and provide table service for dirty dishes. Nice touches. Unique menu offerings as well and occasional offers of cupping classes and events. Staff overall are great.

Cons: What led me to write this review was the disappointing IG posts and Google review responses from the cafe. A 3 star Google review from a customer led to a snarky response from the cafe and an IG story about how Toronto needs to do better and not exploit small businesses. The Google comment was later changed to reflect a more professional response to the rating. This response is why I will be exploring other coffee shops in the path instead of The Brick Room, moving forward.

Expensive!! An iced matcha latte will set you back about $8, one of their specialty drinks will be about $12-13 (and they don’t post the prices on their menu for their specialty drinks so the surprise is at the till), and pourover about $12. Previous comments from the owner mention very high quality coffee and tea, but fellow cafes such as We Wei’s and Forget Me Not cafe charge about $6-8 for specialty trending drinks, and Rooms Coffee (I believe same owners or affiliated with The Brick Room?) also charge less for pour over and matcha. They also sell beans from roasters all over the world for about $30-$60 per bag.

And an FYI - even if you order a drink from them, you are not allowed to bring outside food otherwise they will kick you out.

I suggest exploring the numerous other local cafes that are available...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Brick Room, and it was nothing short of a coffee enthusiast's paradise. From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for a treat.

The Brick Room takes its coffee seriously, and it shows in their impressive selection of specialty brews. Whether you're a fan of a classic espresso or you're feeling adventurous with an Origami, their menu caters to all tastes. The quality of their coffee is exceptional, with each cup delivering a rich and nuanced flavor profile that speaks to the expertise of the baristas.

Pairing perfectly with their coffee lineup is a selection of mouthwatering pastries.

The baristas and staff at The Brick Room are truly the heart and soul of the establishment. Their passion for coffee is infectious, and their attention to customers is nothing short of fantastic.

The spacious, well-lit interior creates an inviting atmosphere that's perfect for everything from solo reading sessions to lively group conversations. The open layout provides ample space for patrons to immerse themselves in a variety of activities, from sketching to studying, making it a versatile spot for any coffee lover.

In conclusion, The Brick Room is more than just a coffee shop; it's a destination for those who appreciate the artistry behind a perfect cup.

The Brick Room is a gem that deserves every...
