✨ A Royal Thai Feast at Kiin – A Christmas Celebration Like No Other! ✨ Sometimes, dining isn’t just about eating—it’s about experiencing culture, artistry, and a story woven into every dish. Kiin had been on our bucket list for a while, and finally, with a drumroll… we made it! A night of elegance, indulgence, and authentic Thai royalty.
🌟 Ambience: A Regal Thai Dream 🌟 The moment we stepped inside, we were transported. Kiin isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. The royal Thai aesthetic, the delicate presentation, and the thoughtful plating made it feel like a dining affair straight from the King’s palace.
👑 The 7-Course Tasting Menu: A Symphony of Thai Perfection 👑 I opted for the vegetarian menu, while my husband went for the regular one—and let’s just say, both of us were utterly captivated.
🥢 Amuse-Bouche: ✨ A taro cutlet (forgive me for forgetting the name!), but it set the stage beautifully—light yet flavorful, hitting all the right notes.
🥟 Sweet, Sour & Spicy Dumplings: A rollercoaster of flavors in every bite—perfectly balanced, delicately crafted, and an explosion of Thai essence.
🍲 Vegan Custard Soup (Tofu & Mushrooms): A unique and earthy delight—though I wish it was just a touch warmer. (The only part of the menu that had room for improvement!)
🍜 Noodle Soup: One word: Fantabulous! An umami-packed broth, Asian-inspired aromatics, and a deeply satisfying flavor profile—easily one of the best I’ve ever had.
🍛 Mains: A Regal Affair 🍛 🥥 Massaman Curry with Coconut Rice – An absolute showstopper! Served in a fresh pumpkin shell, the curry was velvety, rich, and had a surprising hazelnut crunch. 🥥 The rice? Served in a fresh coconut shell, with tender coconut to scrape and enjoy alongside. Pure, indulgent luxury! 🤤 My husband was equally foodgasmed (yes, I said it!).
🍧 Desserts: A Grand Finale 🍧 🍦 Mango Sorbet with Chili – A fire & ice moment! Cool, tangy, with just the right kick of heat—and my daughter thought it was an ice cream treat made just for her! 🍮 Jelly Dessert (in a soup spoon) – So delicate, so delicious! Kiin even brought a complimentary one for my little one, making the experience even sweeter. 🍰 Rice Cake Dessert – Perfectly sweet, exquisitely decorated, and just the right portion.
🍵 Drinks: My husband enjoyed his beer, while I went with tea. While the tea was packet-based, the $3-$4 price for a whole pot felt incredibly reasonable.
🎁 A Special Touch: The cherry on top? A beautifully designed menu souvenir—such a thoughtful keepsake for a night so special!
⭐ Final Verdict: 5/5 – A Royal Thai Dream! ⭐ ✔ Food: Gastronomic excellence with stunning presentation! ✔ Ambience: Opulent, romantic, and elegantly Thai. ✔ Service: Warm, attentive, and kid-friendly. ✔ Uniqueness: Every dish told a story—crafted with tradition and creativity. ✔ Extras: Menu souvenir + complimentary treats for my daughter? That’s next-level hospitality!
✨ Returning? Without a doubt! If you’re craving a Michelin-star-worthy Thai dining experience, Kiin is THE place.

Read moreThis meal was so delicious I have to do a three-post series about it. Kiin has been one of the restaurant's I have been willing to dine ever since it opened. The restaurant had a great atmosphere with dimmed lighting and great knowledgeable staff that welcomes you right away.
The place is well designed, and something I have not seen being able to sit up and close to the kitchen, and have a conversation with the chef. There's also a bar section or dining area for your preference. I am not sure if this a norm, but they start you off with complimentary roots chips.
The menu is small but focused on regional Thai dishes. It also provides certain that such plates may be gluten-free or may contain nut in it. I would recommend looking at the drink menu as it looks pleasing to try. We opted for the prix fixe menu which is a five-course menu ($80).
Handcrafted dumplings (Roy Thai) were just a delight to have, and attractive that you need multiple pictures of it. My favorite one out of the four would be the Chor-Ladda that consists of pickled raddish, coconut wrapped in a jasmine rice flour. There's also the Miang Kung that had a great bite to it, and amazing shrimp on top. Mha Hor that had a small kick to it with the chili, and Thoong Thong. It was recommended that is you have the wonton wrap dumpling first, and finish it the plate cucumber on the bottom.
Kiin delivers an elegant prix fixe menu to the table selected by the head chef.
The prix fixe delivers a five-course menu beginning with assorted handcrafted dumplings that I posted previously. The next dish served was so beautiful that your camera must eat first called Khao Yum. A vegan that consists of 17 ingredients carefully plated on the golden wok and recommended to mix. This bowl was a melting pot of flavor and would recommend it to everyone.
The next course you have a choice between two dishes and I selected the pomelo salad as I love this fruit. My first impression of this dish was the coriander lime dressing was tasty and complimented the kitchen. The fruit was well-segmented with the lime sauce cutting down the bitterness of it. Lastly, is the crunch to the dish with peanuts and toasted coconut.
I would also praise the bar for an excellent old fashion drink that compliments well with...
Read moreA 3 considering the overall experience and value. Definitely not deserving of Michelin recommendation- this is one of the very few Michelin restaurants that fall short of my expectations.
Food quality: while flavorful, it is definitely too salty across all dishes we tried. The saltiness is too over powering and you can't taste the original flavor of the ingredients sometimes.
Poor timing of when food is made and delivered is the biggest reason I do not believe this restaurant will maintain its Michelin rating. We were served the $70 lobster pad Thai that was completely cold and all the noodles stuck together. The rotti was cold and hard and felt reheated and then got cold again by the time it got to our table. For that reason it didn't go well with the short ribs that it came with and the short ribs were also just luke warm. I would have microwaved everything if this happened at home but I didn't want to make their job too difficult and influence the mood of people I was eating with, but the salad cold pad Thai was too inedible we eventually asked for it to be to heated. We were told the chef was making a new order for us- and what came was indeed hot and fresh pad Thai but the lobster was the old and cold one... Again I didn't want to give people a hard time and just ate it but if this restaurant gets Michelin again I will lose confidence in the credibility of Michelin guide altogether. There was not a word of apology about our food quality from beginning to the end.
Other than this, the servers were in general attentive. Refilled water timely (we drank more water than normal given how salty the food was) and the table was cleaned timely between each course.
The food presentation was 5/5, and the only thing Michelin about the restaurant.
Was really looking forward to try what was advertised as a Thai royalty cuisine but extremely disappointed that's the lives royalties lived there. Would be actively recommending those considering this place to try their sister restaurant, Pai, same chain but much better value. Or other restaurants altogether - there are...
