New and potential customers, please save yourself the pain and avoid this place at all costs! Read all the 1-Star reviews because most likely, they are a testament on how awful this place truly is.
This establishment is inconsiderate, unreliable, and lacks basic customer care. I placed an UberEats order but canceled it within TWO MINUTES because the app mistakenly selected a location far from me in Scarborough (Why would I chose a downtown location when I am in Scarborough?!?) Despite canceling almost immediately, I was still charged. I didn’t get my food, UberEats refused to issue a refund, and Pizza Pizza washed their hands of the matter entirely. I essentially paid for food I neither wanted nor received.
When I reached out to Pizza Pizza directly through their "feedback" email (which was copied and pasted by the owner on Google Maps), I received this dismissive and unhelpful response:
Hello, Thank you for contacting us. We are really sorry to hear this happened. Because the order was placed and paid via Uber, they would need to be the ones to refund/credit your order. To make matters worse, the owner of this establishment consistently copies and pastes generic responses instead of providing real solutions or showing any accountability. This is not what I call excellent customer care—it’s lazy and disrespectful to paying customers.
And it’s not just me! The one-star reviews below mine are completely justified. The sheer number of them is a testament to how shady and awful this business really is. Pizza Pizza has clearly failed to provide decent service to its customers, and it shows in the overwhelming dissatisfaction shared by so many others.
This is by far the most time I’ve ever wasted on any food establishment. Pizza Pizza’s lack of responsibility and refusal to assist is appalling. They’ve definitely lost me as a loyal customer, and I hope others take this warning seriously.
This experience has left me frustrated, angry, and disappointed. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere! Pizza Pizza, remember this: what goes around comes around. Your shady practices with UberEats will catch up with...
Read moreI had the most unhinged experience with a delivery person from this location. I requested contactless delivery to my door, and a buzzer number was provided with the order for entry to my building. When she arrived she refused to buzz in and instead called and left multiple VMs saying there was a “line” (not sure what line she was referring to, as there was no line for the elevator when I made my way down since she refused to buzz in) and she was going to get a “ticket.” She also wouldn’t specify where she was (in my lobby? Outside my building?) and just said she was on my street. Finally I told her leave the food in my lobby instead of delivering to my door. I went down and my cauliflower bites were missing. I called and she was sitting outside in her car and came back in, but wouldn’t give me the bites. She kept telling me I had my pop and pizza and didn’t seem to understand even when I indicated on my receipt I had also ordered cauliflower bites. She then put her bag on the floor and started pulling pizzas out of her bag and started opening them asking which was mine, and I explained I didn’t need another pizza - just the bites. When I looked inside her discarded bag on the floor I found a box and said those were probably the bites but she said no, that they were part of another order. I asked again then where the missing bites were and she said she wasn’t sure, that maybe the box was mine, and could I open it and check. I did, and there were my bites. The whole interaction was very frantic , definitely not contactless, and I hope that it’s not normal for Pizza Pizza delivery drivers to ask random customers who may or may not have washed their hands to open boxes that may or may not be theirs…
When I called HQ requesting a refund on my tip they refused, despite the fact the order was not contactless and also not delivered to my door.
Will be ordering from Domino’s moving forward.
As an aside, the cauli bites are not good and not...
Read moreOne of the worst experience I had at any restaurant. The lady/staff there are very arrogant and disrespectful, they will treat you as third class citizens based on how you look! Dirty location, dirty tables, and sweaty staff. I have complained to Pizza Pizza head office and haven't received a concrete response. This clearly states they do not care about customer service let alone how to treat people. I went to this location on a Sunday afternoon with family (Sept. 24/17). #1, the AC was turned off on one of the hottest days of the summer. #2, they have a deal for XL pizza for $9.50. When we inquired about it response from lady was "its on the window that means we have it!" I ignored the comment and carried on. Then she went on to say we can't make it whole wheat or customize (additional topping) because its a promo (this fact was false as later I went online and could order with any possibility). #3, since no whole wheat was available, I order a regular deal and she forgot to make it wheat and blamed me. She said "I am not superstitious, and cannot read you mind." I had already paid at this point and she refused to refund my money and made the pizza on regular dough. I let this go as well, as I am not the person to create a scene in public. Now for the worst part ... she went onto discuss this issue with her co-worker (who had come on from a delivery all sweaty and gross) and we overheard her making fun of how we look (wheat isn't going to help) and accent (which we don't have). I have never experienced such discrimination in my 25+ years yet alone at a national chain. Pizza Pizza as a organization does not care and these complains never get to them. I just want to make other people aware of this particular locations business practices and be very careful. I will never support such blatant disrespect and discrimination and I would advise others to...
