This is a yearly favorite when we come up to whis. To the owner PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES KICKING PEOPLE OUT BEFORE YOUR EVEN CLOSE TO CLOSING. You should know your employee who is younger with working tonight with black hair is trying to kick people out 40 minutes before closing. We were only people there and waiting for food and she told us only to go. We asked why and she said we’re closing soon. When we pointed out we had 40 minutes, she said nothing more than « to go only ». Food (two small crepes) was served at 6:33 and we asked the chef (who was so great and lovely) if we can sit and eat and she said of course as you would expect of a restaurant that is nowhere near closing. We were a mother and daughter dining. Not the messy type.
Meanwhile, the girl who told us we couldn’t sit is throwing dirty looks at the cook and us. Moreover, she started to BANG chairs on purpose incredibly loudly (not a casual, I’m just putting things away) to make a point that they were closing while simultaneously throwing looks and my mom and k. If you have an issue with people eating a small pastry 30 minutes before you close, then change your hours.
I’m writing this at 6:55 before they have even closed and we were able to order, eat, and walk back to our room all the way across the village to give you some perspective.
Food wise highly recommend! This is a whis classic. Cook was so nice and makes a...
Read moreI have never recieved such bad service from an establishment.
I wanted a quick bit to-go so I thought this would be a good nearby spot for a sandwich. I was not acknowledged by the till server for quite some time despite the fact my friend and I were the only ones in line (right in front of the cashier while the cafe was virtually empty). The till server was too busy chatting with a friend to even glance at our direction. When I finally did get her attention, she seemed snarky but I intially shrugged it off. In the process of me paying for my order, the server didn’t hesitate to leave the cashier and continue the conversation she and her friend were having. It made me feel like I was an intrusion to their hangout so I didn’t tip. My friend went to go order after me and unfortunately recieved the same kind of treatment by this server.
As my friend and I were waiting for our orders, this same server kept side-eyeing us the whole time. Eventually we got our sandwiches but the entire interaction definitely left us feeling sour, unwelcomed and frustrated. Speaking from someone who has worked in customer service and in cafes, this was a dissappointing experience.
The sandwich was bleh. I got the chicken pesto sandwich and it was unseasoned, cold in the centre and not worth the $15 price tag for how small it is.
0/5 - will not be...

I recently visited Hot Buns Bakery and had the pleasure of trying both their chicken and pesto sandwich and their beef sandwich, and I can confidently say this place is a gem! The chicken and pesto sandwich was a standout – the chicken was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the pesto added a fresh, zesty kick that elevated the entire sandwich. The bread was soft yet perfectly toasted, adding a satisfying crunch to each bite.
The beef sandwich was just as impressive, featuring juicy, well-seasoned beef with a delicious blend of spices. The portion sizes were generous, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every mouthful. Both sandwiches were hearty, filling, and clearly made with care and attention to detail.
The bakery itself had a warm, inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff who were quick to offer recommendations and make sure everything was just right. Hot Buns Bakery is definitely a spot worth visiting if you're in the mood for high-quality, flavorful sandwiches. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their offerings!
Highly recommend this place to anyone seeking delicious, freshly made food in a...
