Having JUST walked dissatisfied from a Korean restaurant up the street (GUKSI), I gave this one a shot.
I have no idea why this restaurant has a relatively high review. I can attribute it only to my assumption that Chileans generally have no idea what good Korean food should taste like.
Deongjang jjigae. A classic!
This one: Vinegary and salty and flat. Lacking all the subtle layered flavors that you find in this dish. The tofu, which generally is silky and has taken in some of the deep aromas of the dish, were instead dull and flavorless chunks seemingly just pulled out of a tofu packet recently purchased at the grocery store.
Rather than providing that exciting zest of flavors, the 4 dishes of panchan looked and tasted tired and dull.
I took a few sips of the soup and asked for the bill.
I gave the waiter over a 30% tip, so he wouldn't think he'd done...
