Churchill's — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

They have a poster with so many rules especially paying right after you get the drink. I understand the need for manners in such a pub, but imagine you're just super thirsty and got your beer. You want to taste the beer, especially the "awa" (Japanese for bubbles). At that moment, the staff asks you to pay for the beer. You have to stop grasping your beer (even not a sip of it)and start finding your card or phone to pay. After paying the awa disappeared. I was preparing to order several glasses of beer that afternoon, but I didn't want to pay each time so I just ordered one. From my observation, I was only 2 out of 10 customers who were asked to pay before enjoying their beer, as the staff did not ask regular customers to pay immediately. 客差別　ルール違反？or they just have the rule by the boss. But the staff are the southeastern guys so they have the power to decide whether to obey the rule or not? I had one of the worst experiences at this pub. The beer I ordered came out late, and when I took a sip, it tasted lukewarm and shockingly sour (Guiness shouldn't be sour last time I checked). I asked the waitress if she could change the beer, and she answered to wait, but she didn't come back. When I asked if I could get a refund, she changed her face and showed an aggressive attitude, saying that she could not get a refund. I went back to my seat after asking her to speak more kindly, and a drunk person that seemed to be a regular approached me and starred a quarrel. He seemed to be a regular at the store. It was very rude and ridiculous, so I laughed. We just left the store because it was childish. Unfortunate pub with a terribly rude regular. Go...

I had a bad experience here - not recommended, I've been visited many times here before with my boyfriend and treat and serve us very well, then after 3 years I came back here with my girlfriends, I introduced to them that this is a good place to have a good chat with a food and beer, since I'm trying to limit my alcohol I ordered a chicken with fries instead of alcohol and my friend ordered a 1bottle of drink, we stay there I think an hour but the staff are so mean to us looking to us badly just because we only ordered little, and I feel bad to my friend of what happened, then we came back for the next week they also do same to us just because we only order 3 drinks- I will never try to recommend or bring any of my friends...
