Dined in during their Kuromi collaboration. They seem to have a LOT of staff, but very few that are attentive. We waited outside as the sign in front of the store instructed and it took a while for anyone to greet us.
Once inside, they also put us in the tightest spot in the cafe, right up against the wall on a small table. The cafe was NOT at all busy (as you can see by the pictures) and there were plenty of other options, but we accepted the fact as my partner was too excited with the partnership with Kuromi to care.
Unfortunately, all the themed drinks were sold out at this venue, you would think they would stock enough ingredients for this! We ordered the Kuromi themed Risotto and the Kuromi themed soufflé with latte and strawberry soda. The risotto came quick, sans cutlery - this is where their service came into question. I was fully turned around in my seat attempting to garner attention from one of the staff to no avail for at least 10 minutes. Of course, I could have gotten out my seat to grab someone but that’s beside the point if we’re paying the 10% surcharge that gets automatically added to the bill.
The risotto was ok, as expected for themed food - it definitely was not a ‘risotto’ in the traditional sense of the word but rather just shaped purple rice. The bacon it came with was rather bland, with the taste only coming from the sauce that was drizzled on.
The soufflé of course would be the star here, as you would hope with PHI being well known for their soufflé pancakes. The latte - though I had ordered for an extra espresso shot, landed pretty weak. I hope the extra shot was in there… if so, weak coffee - if not, another lack of attentiveness.
All in all, it was a mediocre experience - no freebies to be found here with the collab. At least not with the meals. The decor however, was great! Everything fit nicely into Kuromi’s theme. The menus were particularly a great addition - something unique that hasn’t been seen before in a...

Are you looking for a good place for some brunch 🥞 or light food? PHI Coffee & Pancake is the place to go! From the decorations 💫 of the restaurant to the food, they all look fantastic! ✨ The place is great for a chill afternoon and this time, I went for:
🐄 Slow-cooked Beef Cheek Linguine 🐄 The spaghetti 🍝 is top-notch! I love the sauce they use and it is rich in tomato 🍅 flavor! The beef cheek is so soft and melts 🫠 in your mouth! 👍🏻
🥞 Classic Earl Grey Souffle 🥞 Earl Grey tea 🍵 is one of my favorite teas and this souffle tastes so sweet as the Earl Grey taste is so heavy! The crunchy bits 🍪 on top are also sweet in Earl Grey taste! I personally would like to have more condensed milk 🥛 as dipping though because at the later stage of it, the souffle ran out of taste. 😬
☕ Caramel Crunch Caffe Latte ☕ This is the first time I have tried a caramel coffee ☕ with some crunchy bits 🍪 in it! It surprised 🤯 me that it still tasted crunchy after taking all the photos 📷 lol. The coffee tastes very sweet and I believe even non coffee-drinkers would like it! 😋

Read moreFound this gem of a restaurant while waiting for my wife to finish shopping around the corner. My son and I were looking for a cafe and this was the closest one to us so we made a short walk and discovered this cool place. This is the spot you want to take your wife or girlfriend to for some delicious breakfast/brunch dishes, great coffee options that actually pack a good punch. To top it off the prices are very nice. My son and I shared a platter which came with bacon, prosciutto, mushrooms, over easy eggs, parfait, pancakes (they are perfectly sweet on their own) and some fruit. The combo comes with two drinks for only $288 or $36 usd. We are big guys and this was more than enough to satisfy us both. I ordered the Caramel crunch late and my boy ordered the rose babychino, both tasted great. It was such a great experience that we immediately brought my wife and parents over once they finished up so they could eat lunch. They got the carbonara...
