Located in a basement on Wellington Street, Porker is a Japanese style restaurant that specializes in making delicious katsudon.

This Mr Pig spokesperson is really cute! He is on the staff shirt, together with “Take It Easy Man”.

We wanted to try different types of pork cutlet on the menu, so we ordered two sets which pretty much covered everything. The upper one is the Full House Set with cheese minced cutlet, sirloin and tenderloin cutlets. The lower one is Tenderloin Cutlet Curry.

The Full House Set was amazing to let you have a taste of everything. The cheese minced cutlet was gorgeous! I love the molten cheese inside the minced cutlet. They went so well with each other. The sirloin and tenderloin cutlets had distinguish tastes and textures, which were both so good that gave us a serious foodgasm!

We ordered the Tenderloin Cutlet Curry to try out the curry, and it did not disappoint. Japanese curry is usually sweet instead of spicy, but this one is quite hot indeed! Love that there was more curry than rice!

Something not to miss is the shredded cabbage that comes with the set. Make sure you try it with the sesame sauce and sour sauce provided. I think the sesame sauce is homemade, as the sesame is so flavoured! Even a veggie hater like me finished every single shred of cabbage!

We also ordered this Pork Sandwich. The bread was fluffy and toasted to have a crunchy surface, which wrapped a piece of juicy cutlet inside. The shredded cabbage was mixed with yellow mustard, which topped up the flavour of the veggies and sandwich as a whole.

Again, we ordered a bit too much. The portion was really generous. We first wanted the full house set and the sandwich. But we were told that there was half a sandwich left, so we got the curry set also. However, we were later informed that there was a whole sandwich. We wanted to cancel the curry set, but it was made already, so we ended up with too much food. Yet, I was able to take the left over home and hopefully it would taste as good...

Delicious little Japanese restaurant nestled on the corner of Wellington and Pottinger St in Central, Hong Kong. Gorgeous little space, creating a nice cosy atmosphere. The head chef/manager and staff are very professional and friendly at the same time, the overhead music played is modern, and most importantly the Japanese genre food is a highlight and absolutely delicious. From delicate servings of Japanese snacks, that go fantastically with a cold glass of Santory beer, to various robust Tonkatsu meal sets! Some 'Must try' dishes include their Gyozas, Cutlet Sandwiches, Fried Fish and Tonkatsu Sets (amongst many other items).

If you are after a place to sneak in to relax for the evening (or even lunch), highly recommend a drop into 'Porker'. It's a nice hideout to eat in a...

This tonkatsu pork cutlet joint instantly transported me back to Japan. For over a decade, I've frequented another local chain in Hong Kong that always satisfied my tonkatsu cravings—until I discovered Porker’s.

Their cutlet is fried to perfection with a light, crispy batter. The pork slices are generously portioned and incredibly tender. The seafood set includes shrimp (ebi) and oysters (kaki), complemented by a side of pickles (漬物) and a refreshing white miso soup to cleanse the palate. I'm already planning my next visit!

Fair warning ⚠️ portions are generous! Three sets among four of us left everyone pleasantly stuffed. If you're not ordering a set per person, you might miss out on their complimentary rice and...

Finally revisited Porker! This time at their new location right next to Central market! We went at around 1pm on a rainy Saturday and there were already a queue! We had to wait for around 5 tables before it was our turn. Their Katsu pork sirloin was a 10/10! Soft and tender without being overly fatty. The tenderloin was super moist as well, one piece was a tad over cooked, but the rest were just delicious! We also added their curry sauce, which was absolutely perfect with the rice 🍚 They also offer unlimited refills of shredded lettuce salad, which was just so refreshing and tasty along with their Yuzu sauce! 🍛Aged Pork Sirloin Set HKD 200 🍛Aged Pork Tenderloin Set (3pcs) HKD 240 🍛Curry Sauce +HKD 35
