TLDR - Food was ok, pricey, not worth it for the poor service.
The attitude of our waitress was poor. Off the bat she was slamming down cutlery, which set an unpleasant tone for a meal we had been looking forward to for weeks. We brought our own bottle of prosecco to celebrate a friend's farewell, fully aware of the $250 corkage fee. We asked the waitress if it could be refrigerated until our party was complete, and she agreed. When we asked her if the bottle was cold enough to serve, she walked off without so much as a grunt. We asked again, to no avail. Eventually, we flagged down another server to request OUR bottle of prosecco from the fridge. He kindly brought out a bottle and even took photos for us. 10 minutes later, he returned with our unopened bottle, stating he hadn't realised we brought our own and assumed we wanted to order from their menu. When we clarified that we wanted our bottle, his attitude shifted dramatically. He cleared our glasses and poured them down the sink, and brought our bottle out with a long face, making it seem as though WE were at fault for the misunderstanding. The overall service was disappointing, especially considering there were only 2 other tables occupied during our dinner. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I am empathetic to the fact that tough days and mistakes happen, but the lack of organisation, accountability, and courtesy was unacceptable. Appetisers were nice (cheese platter, fries, dip sampler), but entree meat (souvlaki platter) was quite dry.
Sadly, none of my party will...
Read moreThe loveliest restaurant with the sweetest staff and cutest interior. It’s Santorini away from the Greek islands, the place is (obviously) Greek themed, painted blue and white, with ceiling-to-floor windows that just lights up the whole place with the most gorgeous street view it adds such an atmosphere to the dining experience. We were tended by the friendliest server who made sure all our dining needs were met (despite us stumbling in during their lunch time). The food was so gorgeously curated you could taste all the love and work put into each component with every bite you take. Everything was seasoned and paired to such perfection, their tuna salad had such a delicate balance of savoury from the tuna, tang from the mango vinaigrette and plump sun-dried tomatoes as well as sweetness from the blend of citrus fruits. Their Grilled Souvlaki was beautifully charred with such fragrant aromatics, the greek fried made with ACTUAL POTATO was seasoned and fried spectacularly crisp, I wish I shoved some in my bag to savour now that i’m glancing at the food. And the grilled meat was so tender with such rich flavours, dripping it’s juices over the fries making it, oh, so much more sapid. The tzatziki dip was so light and refreshing in contrast, that went seamlessly alongside the toasted fluffy pita bread that left my body forgetting its gluten intolerance as i...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Santorini Greek restaurant in Elgin Road Central, and I must say, it was a good experience. The highlight of the evening was definitely their platters, which were nothing short of awesome. The variety and flavors of the Greek dishes on the platters were absolutely fantastic.
However, there is one thing to watch out for when ordering two platters. I noticed that there was some inconsistency in the quality of the meat between the two platters. While the meat on the first platter was tender and succulent, some of the meat on the second platter was not as good. It's definitely something to keep in mind if you plan on ordering multiple platters. Or jus call it out in time if you want anything changed
Despite this slight issue, I still highly recommend Santorini Greek restaurant for their amazing platters. The flavors and ambiance of the restaurant are simply wonderful, and the overall dining experience is truly enjoyable. So if you're craving a Greek feast, Santorini Greek restaurant is definitely the...
