Think traditional HK style fast food, the so called Cha Chan Tengo, this is one great representation of it. The food is not fancy but full of the taste and vibes of such restaurants. The service is actually pretty good: fast, efficient, and courteous. I have found that services in HK has been greatly improved from the stereotype of grumpy waiters. Of special note is the milk tea here which is rich but not too creamy and the tea has its distinctive flavor (including the Assam tea flavor that I like a lot). Frankly it's just another "local menu" 茶餐廳，from price to favor. For only 40hkd, you can have a "meat meal" (扒餐), it's a bowl of noodle with one “song” (餸), a reasonable-sizd piece of meat (beef, chicken or pork), an iconic bun with butter pre-filled, a piece of tomato and a piece of cucumber, and a cup of coffee or tea. Enough to fix your hunger.

Servers may look a bit “gangster-ish” but they are actually super nice.

I was staying at a hotel nearby and found this really local Cha Chan Teng through Google maps. The food is uniquely Cha Chan Teng with the instant noodles and bread. The milk tea is so delicious. We ate here daily and even bought the bread back for tea. I visited dirtier coffee shops in Hong Kong so this place is simple and clean enough. I couldn’t find any other Cha Chan Teng...
