Clemente Café and Flowers — Restaurant in Medellín

I visited Clemente for the first time, excited to try their brunch. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations due to severe understaffing issues.

After waiting 30 minutes without anyone taking our order or even acknowledging us, we decided to leave and dine elsewhere. The restaurant appeared to have only one waiter covering the entire floor and a single person making all beverages. Most concerningly, the manager seemed oblivious to the situation, focusing on a computer instead of assisting the overwhelmed staff.

While I understand restaurants can face staffing challenges, the lack of communication or effort to manage the situation was disappointing. I hope Clemente can address these issues, as I was looking forward to trying their food.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is decent and would be more delicious if the price was lower :) eggs Benedict on a toast and a side of avocado toast with orange juice will cost you $19 usd without the tip included. Yikes.

I can’t give it a higher rating because there’s a dog there. I asked who the dog belonged to and they told me the dog was part of the restaurant. I love dogs they’re great but not when they are staring you down begging for you to give them something to eat while you’re eating and pressing their nose against your leg while you’re trying to ignore them. The atmosphere isn’t street enough for there to be a dog there if you know what I mean. It feels to high end. I would love a dog breathing on me while I eat if the meal was half the price and if it was on a corner owned by a...

I ate here and had coffee many times. Good food! 👍Nice to order through an app so you can see what you are getting and you know the order wasn't misunderstood or mistranslated. I never had anything forgotten or an order messed up here. 👍 Wifi works well here and people work on laptops. 👍 Cute, friendly dogs of people working

👎 I was unable to get the payment system in the app to work for me so I would walk to the counter to pay but that's not an issue usually. 👎 Like many places in el poblado, I would expect this to take 90 minutes to eat lunch here.

Some of the staff were very kind and patient with my slow spanish trying to explain I couldn't pay on the app, or sometimes they weren't the nicest and I felt like a pest. A bit...
