Stella's Monteverde is way more than meets the eye. This place is a landmark for locals and a wonderful place to hang out, dine, and enjoy nature with friendly staff.
As Nature Guides, Monteverde Wildlife Experiences highly recommends this place because of EVERYTHING: Great location right in the heart of our small Monteverde Community. Friendly and professional service from people we know and trust. Clean and beautiful buildings, gardens, and forest. Reliable service. Awesome wildlife that is out of their control because it is not a zoo. Extremely delicious options. Healthy choices for snacks, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Stella's has its very own coffee brand and vegetarian and vegan options. Many of our Guided Tours start or end at Stella's Bakery because of all these reasons and more. The wildlife you may see there will depend on the season, time of the day, and climate change. So if you see some wildlife, that will be extra, but the quality of the food and service has always been excellent.
P/S No one FEEDS MONKEYS at Stella's. Stella's property is part of a biological corridor, and wildlife is free. Animals come and go as they please. Howler Monkeys come because that is their neighborhood, and they love the fig trees and forest around Stella's. The White-throated Capuchin Monkeys visit because they are not afraid of humans. They will try to steal food from every house and business in the neighborhood. These monkeys visit the grocery store across the street and take what they can. The same monkeys go to Airbnb and break in to find food as they come to Stella's to see what they can rob. These monkeys are not starving or hungry. These guys are naughty. No one in the neighborhood feeds White-throated Capuchin Monkeys. They are clever opportunists and will always be that...
