We had a lunch together with friends one day (10 people including 3 kids). A waitress said she understands a little of English and Germain, however she was not able to understand names of the dishes from the menu. Probably because of that they brought a tatar for children instead of bread or toasts. Then, when we were discussing the situation between ourselves in Russian and she eavesdropped our chat, she said passing by that she doesn’t understand Russian (to join the conversation or what? We kindly asked her what language can we order as we could make it in 6 different excluding Czech unfortunately from the start and we’ve been told to use English and or German). Quite unpleasant and unprofessional service for which we were asked to pay tips! Good food though. The group of people who was taking our sits after us agreed that service is questionable since they could not get places for several minutes because they were numbered with kids, so we have offered them ours since we were paying off...
Read moreWe ate at the restaurant this evening. When ordering drinks, I told the waitress, that I dont drink alkohol, and the waitress recommended an alkoholfree beer. I asked, if it was 0,0% because I cannot drink alkohol at all, and she said yes.
But it turned out, that the beer wasn't without alkohol, and when we told the waitress that I could not drink it, and that i wanted to order a soda instead, it became a very uncomfortable situation. The waitress kept saying it was alkoholfree, and she even tried searching for it on the internet, but it clearly said 0.5%. We didnt make a fuss about it, and just ordered a soda. But the waitress was very rude and gave us a cold treatment. We ended up paying for both the soda and the beer.
It should always be acceptable, to not want to comsume alcohol, and the staff should be familiar with the alcohol percentages of the drinks,...

You can find here some typical czech dishes but we tried for example goulash and I was a bit dissapointed of how it was served … egg and sausage on the top is a bit strange for me tbh. Also I thought that Plzeňka restaurants should be typical czech cuisine restaurants but there were also for example borscht … alright I got it this city is more open to tourists but what got me most is that there was written mistake in czech menu in the broth🥴 And last thing was that the waiters were quite ignoring asian tourists sitting next to us … how will be their experienece of Czech...
