Restaurant Bohemia — Restaurant in okres Karlovy Vary

Ok, hear me out. We visited this restaurant twice. As soon as we arrived the first time we were a bit taken aback by the not-so-friendly service and we never thought we would have come back only a few days later. However. The food was really good — compared to other restaurants in town — and to be honest, we didn’t find the service of other restaurants that much better. So we came back the last night and service was a lot friendlier, food still tasted great (honestly the best we had from restaurants in the city center). My partner really enjoyed the half-duck, which she had both times. Tasty and quite a huge portion, too.

Moral of the story is, sometimes people have bad days, it’s ok. Food was great both times. Prices are bit high but then again, they are in almost all resultants in the city centre, it is what it is. Atmospheric establishment, friendly staff, recommended us what to try! My husband and I ordered chicken broth and borscht - amazing taste, unlike other establishments! It is immediately noticeable that they are prepared from fresh products and not frozen semi-finished products (which is extremely rare in these parts). We also tasted meat on the bone and a duck leg - simply divine! The service is really not the best, it seems that the service team is not professional. It's little things. For example, when picking up the empty drinks glasses to ask if you still want something to drink. Or when clearing the main dishes, to ask if you still want a dessert or a coffee.
