Discover an enchanting restaurant nestled in the heart of the city center. Having dined at this delightful establishment on multiple occasions, I would like to share some valuable insights to enhance your visit:
Exquisite Ambiance: The restaurant boasts an appealing aesthetic and enjoys a prime location, making it a splendid choice for any occasion.
International Charm: The waitstaff exhibit exceptional warmth and attentiveness towards English-speaking travelers. While their service may vary for locals conversing in Czech, the overall experience remains delightful.
Culinary Adventures: For those craving an authentic pizza experience, I would suggest exploring alternative options. While the Quattro Formaggi pizza fell short of expectations, resembling a frozen creation, the Pescatore pizza with its average tomato sauce failed to truly impress.
Beverage Recommendations: In lieu of cocktails, I wholeheartedly recommend indulging in a glass of their exquisite wines. The selection is bound to captivate even the most discerning connoisseurs.
Sublime Seafood and Starters: Allow your palate to embark on an unforgettable journey by exploring the wonders of the seafood raw bar and the tantalizing array of starters. These offerings truly steal the spotlight on the menu.
Portion Prowess: Satisfyingly generous servings of pasta and risotto await, although their taste may be considered average. Rest assured, you'll leave with a satisfied appetite.
Consideration of Value: It is my belief that the quality of service and culinary experience provided should be priced at a more accessible level, approximately 20% lower than its current offering.
In conclusion, this charming restaurant impresses with its alluring ambiance and prime location. While certain culinary aspects may fall short of expectations, the establishment's seafood raw bar and starters hold the promise of an extraordinary dining adventure. With a slight adjustment in pricing, this venue would truly elevate its...
Read moreHad originally tried to get a table on a Friday night at what was rated number 1 on TA, Ristorante Pagana, but you need a reservation if you want to eat here, such is the demand. The waiter there asked would we like him to recommend somewhere and he strongly advised on Polpo Restaurant which was literally around the corner. (So this recommendation came from the Number 1 TA Restaurant). So we sat outside in the last of the evening sun. The location is fantastic and easy to find. The Restaurant is absolutely impeccibly clean - in fact I have never ever come across a cleaner place. At one point a customer must have dropped something or a piece of paper blew from the road and immediately a lady appeared with a brush and pan to take it away. They say you can judge a place by the bathroom, well if thats the case, you could have eated your food in the bathroom. It could easily have been just opened new, 1 hour before we arived, thats how clean it way. Then there was the service. Very very attentive, not pushey, helpful with the menu and wines. The waiter was very friendly indeed. We could see this carry through at the other tables too. It looked like the owner was also present and going to tables to see if everything was ok. Then there was the food. The starters were amazing. Bruschetta and Salad were fantastic. The mains were very good, but perhaps not brilliant. Then came the bill. Being the first night we hadnt gotten to grips with the exchange rate, so didnt realise just how good value the meal was. Considering we got starters, mains, coffees, sides and bottle of wine, the price was at least half what you would pay in other major European cities. I would highly recommend this place and would return again and again. Huge outdoor and indoor capacity, so easy to just drop in and...
Read moreHaving travelled the world, especially Europe. This restaurant came as a huge disappoint. To point out to others, the staff and management are RACISTS!!! If you’re white you’ll be treated well! Even though we footed a bill almost close to 3000!
We weren’t served the bread basket on arrival as other tables were served! I was travelling with three kids! Service was highly unprofessional and the staff seemed unbothered and racist. Had to call them over Several times to bring our order. While the tables around us were being served promptly.
I looked for the manager and went and complained about the same. A semi bald guy introduced himself as the manager, I was fuming and he lacked the personality of the manager. He too was unbothered. He said I don’t think that happened. I told him that I’d leave a negative review! Especially about our server IVAN. He asked me to go ahead. But refused to give me the owner’s email ID.
Would suggest people to stay away from this restaurant with the sub standard food and...
