Bread Gap — Restaurant in Prague

I stumbled upon Bread Gap accidentally while returning from a visit to Prague Castle. It's a fantastic little sandwich shop that's great if you're on a budget and need a quick bite. The sandwiches are prepared daily and there's a wonderful variety to choose from (including vegetarian options). I devoured my hummus and sundried tomato sandwich - it was delicious and super fresh! The iced latté and croissant were no exception in terms of taste and quality. The shop is small but it does offer a handful of bar stools where you can sit and enjoy your meal. Lovely place! Jan saved my life when I accidentally showed up to the US embassy (up the street from Bread Gap) with my laptop which cannot enter the building. Jan kindly offered to store my bag with my laptop, he even has an informal number system because I am far from the first desperate person to show up in his cafe. I finished up at the embassy and returned hoping I had not just willingly participated in what could have been a well-orchestrated scam. I had not. An extraordinary experience. We visited this little Sandwich Manufacturer twice in a 72h stay in Prague. My daughter and I were very pleased by the comforting and high quality Breakfast Sandwiches. We tried Ham/Cheddar, Beef/Mountain Cheese and Tomato/Mozzarella. We had little cinnamon/apple goodies and juice or Cava. Everything was pleasantly decorated and tasted like more. The service was amazingly friendly and personal. A place and owner that/who never disappoints....
