I loved the food so much❣️ I had the beef tatar and the rosted duck and both were absolutely amazingly delicious❣️ I haven't had that quality and taste in both dishes for years, so I highly recommend the place! The staff was nice and the food was delivered very fast. One can see that they deal with masses of tourists daily. However the food had nothing of the things that get served to tourists usually in many big cities! Like I said, it was fantastic and fantastic again❣️ The ambiance also is amazing, since it is a very old building, with domed guest rooms that show historical paintings that faded over time. Really impressive! Also, even the toilets were clean, nice, taken care of and full of ambiance. Amazing place! We ordered traditional food: pork knuckle and 2 grilled cheeses with fries. We were planning to share and have a light lunch, as there were four of us, but instead got pretty full quickly — portion size is amazing here, for the price you are paying.

Place is on a pricier side, but the food especially the knuckle is well worth it, the meat was delicate and just perfect.

Special regard goes to the design of the restaurant, I kind of wish we were seated inside to get more view of the amazing old walls and paintings. On the other hand, outside terrace is equipped with heaters so we enjoyed views of the St. Nicolas church while dining here.

As for the drinks, one thing I would NOT recommend ordering is grog - too strong liquor flavor, settle for beer or other...

I had pečená kachna. I am in love. The duck was so tender and flavoured perfectly in the plum sauce. The red cabbage was just amazing. If you have had moravské zelí before you know how delicious it is. The potato dumplings were also amazing, and great to soak up the juice from the duck. This pays homage to one of the Czech Republic’s most favourite (and my favourite) dish. Thank you chef 🫡

This restaurant is amazing. The interior is so beautiful. Czech food isn’t for everyone, so if you’re looking for an alternative they have a lot of options here too. the staff were so friendly, and the service was great.
