The paella was good, especially the shrimp. The service we received was such that the server's demeanor was a little rough on the edges. He threw down the plates when he served us. He did this with another table too. He also sneezed into his hands. He sneezed more than once while we ate there.
At the end, the server aggressively asked for tip. First he did so as I was seated I asked for the bill & he asked cash or card. I replied card. Then he asked tip? I said no. Then he asked if I wanted to take care of it at the table or at the bar. Since he asked, I figured I would just be on my way out and pay at the bar. Then at the register, he asked again would you like to tip? I said no. He said service is not included, would you like to tip? I said no. He then asked "why not?". I didn't answer the first time & he asked "why not?" with a not-so-nice tone again.
I told him that I only tip if there's great service & he had a very upset look on his face. As I thanked him, he ignored me.
It's unfortunate as I will never return to this restaurant because of this experience (I'm someone who returns & returns when I like the food). Management, I hope that you don't accept this as proper service at your restaurant especially in a country where tip is nice but optional. If you require tip at your restaurant of service that includes throwing down plates & sneezing into hands while serving your customers, please list it...
Read moreI have been walking by this place for a while, but I finally gave it a try a couple days back and I have to say it was the best decision I did in a while. I went with a friend, we had paella and pasta, both with seafood and honestly - it was glorious. Both dishes tasted heavenly, with a generous portion of actual seafood and perfect seasoning. I enjoyed every bite. Plus we got a free desert which was extremely nice as well. Not only food was great but I also have to say that staff was top notch. Super friendly, always helpful when we needed anything, it was a great part of dining experience here. Restaurant itself is a nice cozy place, perfect for a lunch or even a date. We payed about 250czk (10€) each for our dish, but you can get lunch menu which is like half that price and sounds amazing as well.
Overall I have to say that visiting this restaurant is an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to another meal there. I even recommended it to a couple...
Read moreI've been here twice in the past 2 months. And I have mixed feelings about reviewing it. Because it's a lovely hidden little place, with a delightful waitress, and lovely food... and I adore the marine decor.... so I'm torn between keeping it to myself... as it's been quiet both times I've been there.... and sharing this little gem... as soon it'll get crowded and no space for me. Anyway... I've been there for lunch and enjoyed a home made soup. Also been for dinner and had a chicken broth with a natural flavour and tasty chicken pieces. I love that the olive oil and balsamic vinegar for the bread come in decorative glass decanters. I also had a delicous goat cheese and beetroot salad – with a big toasted round of cheese. For dessert I had a chocolate cakey thing with icecream, rich and home made. Only thing is I had 2 glasses of wine.. with a sore head the next day. Really cosy delightful place... I saw couples there on dates... it's a nice romantic...
