Disappointed!!! Last week we had a dinner at Masala Indian restaurant in Anděl. We asked for Panipuri as it was in the Menu but it wasn’t available there and we were told to try in Prague 1. Today we went there mainly for the Panipuri and then ordered Chicken Manchurian as well. The waiter who took the order asked us if we will be having main course. We said No. His attitude changed immediately and was responding rudely. He told us that there will be 3 or 4 Panipuri per plate. We said we want to try first and then order more if needed. He then said we will have to wait longer as there were many orders pending which isn’t true as there were many empty tables. We said fine. The people who came after us got their order served before us which is still ok. We got our order after a while and as he said there were 4 Panipuri which has cold potato filling and the big surprise was the Chicken manchurian which has just 4 small pieces. Like, seriously??? You should have kept it in the kids section if it was supposed to be such a small portion. We finished our food in a few minutes and then went to Namaste India restaurant which was just around the corner. Ordered Chilli Chicken and it was plate full. Such a huge difference! Ambience is good but you guys have to improve a lot...
Read moreFell short of expectations. I ordered one of the more expensive dishes: prawn tandoori. It came cold. I asked and it was reheated- I assume in the microwave. This is disappointing as it was clearly not cooked fresh. Also this was not indicated when ordering. The girl there asked, but the guy completely ignored the issue. Left feeling frustrated and that is not the way I want to leave restaurants. Especially when paying above average and ratings raise expectations. And even if so, customer service is more of an afterthought. Pity!
Update after response from Owner: Sadly, I have to disagree with the response. I am aware how the dish is supposed to be cooked. However, I received the dish stone cold as if from the fridge. The girl was even surprised. She took the plate and returned with it hot in a couple of minutes. I would have expected an explanation on the spot but none came. Ignoring the issue seemed more “comfortable”. Being clear on the situation or advising on alternatives if the dish was not cooked fresh (but only reheated) would have been a much better customer...
