Terrible hostile waiter. Asked a waiter where I could get plate for lunch menu in response to which he made a frowning face as if I even don't know where to get the plate. I told him that shouldn't be his attitude especially this being a hospitality industry. Another waiter jumped in threateningly and started telling that I better eat or leave! They don't need my feedback! He was posturing in front of me bringing his body in front of me trying to intimidate me. He was talking rudely in Punjabi Urdu language. He didn't stop and ultimately I had to bring him to his senses that if he continues to behave like this I would call the police! That may brought some sense in his idiotic hot head or the commotion that was being created as that made him back off. It was a disgusting experience and I just decided to leave sooner not wanting to eat anymore! In over 25 years of my adult life having travelled all over the world this is the first time I faced such a cheap, threatening behaviour at restaurant. They are more like gangsta rather than waiters. Think one day they will definitely end up in Czech police lock up if this is the attitude they carry. Shame on owners who are running such a place with such kind of hot head gangster people in mingle of Europe! I am not sure if this was a calculated attack because I am an Indian and the attacking staff were of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin. That is for police to...
Read moreAs an Indian food fanatic, I’ve tasted my way through countless Indian restaurants, and Amritsar Indian Restaurant truly stands out as one of the best! My wife and I were lucky enough to have it recommended by our hotel’s receptionist (who, being Indian himself, simply said, “I’ll let the food speak for itself”). And it certainly did – loudly and deliciously!
The food was nothing short of sublime. Every detail, from the perfectly cooked rice to the heavenly naan, was crafted to perfection. Each bite was an experience, and we couldn’t have been more delighted.
The service was equally impressive – warm, welcoming, and attentive, which made us feel right at home. The only slight downside is the setting; it’s located within a somewhat dated mall, and the décor could use a refresh. Honestly, if it hadn’t come highly recommended, we might not have ventured in based on looks alone.
That said, the food more than makes up for it! We’ll be back on our next trip to Czechia, without a doubt. I hope the owner reads this and gives the interior the same care as the kitchen, because the flavours here are exceptional. Couldn’t recommend it enough –...
Read moreThe food here is just decent, atleast the butter chicken, that's it. But I guarantee you won't enjoy even that.
But the service is really bad, actually the worst I have seen.
The waiters don't attend on time. Shows attitude if you order for 3 out of 4 people with you. Don't serve water, doesn't even ask about it. Asks you to order order everything at once. Doesn't let you change even after 25 sec. Shamelessly ask you to keep the change doesn't matter how big is it.
We went the second time since one new friend was already there and ordered. That time they even said 'is that all?' in a condescending tone when one of us asked for just water, since we already had dinner.
Since I can understand hindi/punjabi. I could even hear their attitude towards customer. One of them even said to the other 'he doesn't look like he is gonna give any tip so don't bother with politeness'
And the worst part, waiter took away the dishes while my friend was still eating and I went to use the restroom.
I haven't been to too many places in Prague but some of them are equally good. So avoid if you can find...
