Astor Pizza — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

This place is by far the only place I have eaten well and had value for money.

It does not try to be more than what it is. I love thus!! Situated just outside of the Central Station's main entrance, this is definitely going to be my go-to-place when just wanting a quick and fullfiling dinner in the centre.

It's simple; and it's tasty!! It has the deep pan American pizza and salad (which is actually fresh and crispy, and I don't even like salad...😀...but in here it actually tastes nice!!). The deep pan pizzas can also be found on the a la carte menu. Menu can be found in both Danish and English!! And I absolutely adore that it's not a 'menu book' but rather a hard 2-sided menu made of hardened cardboard (I assume).

Besides this the menu offers burger menus and old-fashioned but plain and simple Danish starters such as the shrimp cocktail.

All kinds of drinks and yet many simple desserts!! I'm loving the accessibility of this place for people even with a lower cash flow. I definitely miss more places...

There was only 1 thing I didn't like about this restaurant, when I went to pay with my credit card, I was not allowed to choose my home country currency. Apparently the "owner " has decided that patrons have to choose krone on the pay machine. The waitress told me this. I was very annoyed and bothered when I heard this excuse.

Last time I checked there is no law that says a customer can't choose their home currency when they are paying by card. I have been choosing my own currency every other place when asked on the credit card machine. This felt very pushy and I did not appreciate it at all.

They offer pizza & salad buffet for 99kr and I decided to try it, although the reviews here were not good. Once I got in they told me I must buy something to drink as well, so I got a small beverage for 39kr. Salad options are basic, I didn't find something exciting to get a second dish, so I mostly had pizza. Out of the 4 kinds of pizza they offer (chicken, meat, salami-mushroom and Hawaiian) I liked the meat one (photo). Rest are not something special, Hawaiian would be tasty if they added more than one piece of pineapple in each pizza piece. Staff is multinational and friendly.
